The rest of the day passed quietly. Trips to several minor incidents didn't prevent Jisoo from plunging into her thoughts to try to digest all the information she received. Today she learned a lot about her girlfriend, while starting to wonder if she even knows Jennie. She was used to seeing her as an affectionate domestic girl, and was not ready for her other sides.

Jisoo was left with a slight aftertaste due to the unfulfilled fleeting hope that her girlfriend might turn out to be a policeman, one of those about whom heroic action films are made. But life is not a prescribed scenario, in reality everything turns out to be much more prosaic. But now Jisoo was calm and knew that at least Jennie wasn't a drug addict, even though she was involved in this business. It's a small consolation, but still. The girl also finally understood where Jennie got so much knowledge in criminology, developed observation and other talents that she was awarded by studying at the police academy and her father's upbringing.

Leaving work, the brunette was still trying to imagine little Jennie, surrounded by her family, trying on a police uniform bought by her parents for Christmas, dreaming of growing up and taking a place next to her father. And then this same little girl grows up and enters the police academy, only to drop out three years later and plan to overthrow the boss of the criminal business. God, what is wrong with this world, why did this happen in the first place?

Turning towards her house, Jisoo noticed a familiar figure that was already hiding behind the front door. Even though she had only seen Jimin once, the brunette easily recognized the guy. Remembering how angry Jennie was at him in the ambulance, Jisoo was preparing to catch a tense conversation, but she didn't guess. There was no conversation. There was only Jennie with a crazy burning look, methodically beating a guy pinned against the wall.

Considering the dirty business Jennie was involved in, working for a drug dealer, Jisoo knew deep down that a brown-haired girl could look scary, but it's one thing to know, and it's quite another thing to see with your own eyes. There was absolutely no emotion on Jennie's face, while her gaze resembled that of a madman. She ignored Jimin's words, hitting him over and over again. Jennie was clearly not hitting at full strength, but still the blows were painful. For the first time, Jisoo felt fear when she was in the same room with her girlfriend. Even beating Seokjin, the brown-haired girl didn't look so intimidating. At that time, Jisoo understood what caused her girlfriend's rage, she could write it off as a combination of circumstances. Now the girl acted deliberately and prudently. This Jennie scared Jisoo. The brunette wanted to try to stop the beating, but she couldn't bring herself to move and move away from the front door, all her instincts were pushing her to run away.

-I understand everything! Stop it.- Surprisingly, Jimin didn't sound scared, but rather annoyed. He tried to shield his head and body from blows by cowering against the wall, however, not so successfully, judging by his broken nose.

-And what did you understand?- Jennie stopped the series of punches, instead grabbing the guy hard by the collar and pressing him into the wall, not paying attention to the fact that he was half a head taller than her.

-I should have warned you in advance about our plan.- Jimin's answer sounded calm, the guy confidently withstood Jennie's burning gaze.

-Idiot, you shouldn't have had any plan at all.- Jennie snarled, dissatisfied with the answer.- I told you not to do anything until I tell you about it.

-The situation has changed quickly. Heechul found out that someone was trying to investigate his past, he was interviewing people, collecting evidence. You decided to speed up our work yourself, using the bag of drugs as an excuse to get closer to him, so why couldn't we take advantage of the situation when we had a chance? Why is it my fault? Everything was under control. I was protecting your ass, by the way. Heechul doesn't know yet that we've uncovered him. He still thinks he's skilfully running his business from the shadows. Your antics with his merchandise give him a headache, but only because he is infuriated by the audacity, not because he considers you a real threat. At the same time, he set a couple of corrupt patrolmen on you to scour the streets. What if he found out about all your antics, that you know who he is, that you went to the archive and brought up old cases? What would have happened then? He would have let his assistants loose on you, and in twenty-four hours you would have been dead. By sending him information that Rose was allegedly conducting her own investigation, we forced him to focus only on her. Now he has nothing to find out, he is sure that the problem has been solved, and we have recordings of all his conversations where he orders Rose to be killed.- Jimin's voice never wavered, the guy was sure he was right.
