It's been almost two weeks. The paramedic's job is such that they often have to take risks, helping victims who haven't yet been removed from wrecked cars, or persuading a suicidal person to remove a gun from his temple. Every day brings new surprises and challenges, so what happened in that store gradually became just another incident, which will be told to newcomers to show that their chosen job is not perfect at all. No one mentioned what had happened anymore, life went on as usual for everyone. For everyone except Jisoo. Day after day, the girl found herself unconsciously peering at every passerby, hoping to find that strange drug addict with her eyes. Yes, it was stupid, but there was nothing Jisoo could do about it. For the first time, she couldn't get the patient out of her mind. Although, it's hard to forget the person who sacrificed himself for you.
The day turned out to be relatively calm, before lunch they had only a few calls: an elderly lady who twisted her ankle trying to catch her beloved cat, and a teenager with an appendicitis attack. Lisa drove the car slowly back to the unit, thinking out loud about how great it would be if people would delay traumatic activities until the end of their working day, cover themselves with foam and lie at home. At this time, Jisoo was looking out the window with a bored look, occasionally nodding to her friend. With her thoughts, she replayed her last conversation with the brown-haired girl in her head. Why didn't she agree to be helped? Could Jisoo have said something that could convince her to think about rehabilitation? What could make a young, beautiful girl become a drug addict?
It's kind of not really according to the rules, but Jisoo was trying to find that girl through the hospital's patient database. That's just that the stranger didn't leave any personal data, disappearing before she could have been asked about anything.
-Slow down!- A sharp cry escaped Jisoo's lips before she realized it herself.
The brunette moved almost closely to the windshield, straining her eyes and peering into the silhouette of a girl who was standing in the company of several guys further down the street. It was a nasty place here. This quarter was famous for its high crime rate, it was chosen by several gangs at once, which were constantly in conflict with each other, which is why doctors appeared here almost every day. It is known that where there are bad guys, there are always drugs, they could be bought almost everywhere here.
-Don't tell me you're going to approach her.- Lisa groaned, also recognizing the brown-haired girl.
-Give me five minutes. It's going to be okay, I just want to make sure her wound is okay. This is our job.- Jisoo was already jumping out of the car, ignoring her friend's grumbles.
When Jisoo got out of the car, the brown-haired girl noticed her and hurriedly said goodbye to her "friends", walking briskly towards the girl, pulling up her hood and hunching slightly, but halfway turned sharply into an alley, as if she did not know Jisoo. The paramedic was not surprised that the girl was trying to avoid meeting her, but she was not going to give up so easily. Quickening her pace, she also turned into an alley, feeling a hard grip on her forearm after a few meters. A moment later, Jisoo was already pulled into a shadowed recess in the wall. The brown-haired girl leaned on her with her whole body, pressing her into the cool concrete. She had one hand tightly clamped over the brunette's mouth, and the other was holding her shoulders.
-Don't say anything.- The stranger was so close that their noses were almost touching.
Jisoo's heart was pounding wildly in her chest, and her breathing was short due to such an unexpected turn of events. Fuck. What was she even thinking when she decided that it would be nice to go to a deserted alley in a criminal area for a drug addict.
In fact, less than thirty seconds had passed since the paramedic was trapped between a cool wall and a heated body, but for Jisoo, the seconds seemed like an eternity, during which she managed to scroll through all possible death options in her head, and then also stuck on the realization of how pleasant it is to feel someone else's body pressed against her own. Oh, those eyes.
