Chases pov
Today is the day. Im finally going to ask Skye to the dance. No backing down.I figure flowers will help, so I stop by a store and buy a dozen pink roses. Then I head back to the lookout. I knock on the door to her puphouse, and she comes to answer the door.
"Hey chase,whats up" she says, then notices the flowers and goes still. I cant tell if thats a good sign or a bad sign,but I ask the question Ive been wanting to ask her all week
"Skye, will you go to the dance with me?" I asked, holding out the roses to her
"Yes chase, of course I'll go to the dance with you " she said, excited,taking the roses
"Really?" I cant believe my ears
"Yeah, Ive had a crush on you for years" she said
"Ive had a crush on you for years" I said
She put down the roses and threw herself into my arms, and we kissed for a few moments, but she pulled away suddenly from my embrace.
"What am I going to wear?" she asked, starting to freak out
"It doesn't matter what you wear, you always look beautiful to me" I told her
"Aww chase, thats so sweet" she said "but I do need to go find a dress,"
"Okay, see you later" I said
"Bye chase"
We shared one more kiss, and then she headed off to the mall.
Meanwhile, at the park
Masons pov
Me and liberty head to the park after we are done with our patrol. I try multiple times to ask her to the dance but cant find a good way to bring it up.
"Mason,look! a rainbow" liberty said "it's so pretty"
"Not as pretty as you" I said without thinking
"What was that?" she asked
"Nothing!" I said nervously
"It was definitely something" she said with a grin on her face
"Okay, I have something I need to tell you" I said
"Go on" she said
"I've liked you, for a while, and I was hoping you would go to the dance with me" I told her
"Of course I'll go to the dance with you!" she said wagging her tail wildly
"You will?" I said,shocked
"Yes, and Ive liked you for a while too" she said back
Now my tail started wagging wildly. I looked into libertys amber eyes and got lost in them. The next thing I knew, we were cuddling on the ground and her lips were locked against mine. I let myself sink into it, but after a minute or two, she released me and we stood up and dusted ourselfs off.
"That was, just, wow" I said,barely able to get my words out.
"Yeah, sorry that it was so sudden, I should have warned you" she said
"Wheres the fun in that?" I teased
"We should probably get back to the lookout" she said
"Youre right" I said
We headed back to the lookout, and I saw skye headed towards us.
"Liberty!" she said when she saw us coming."I need your help picking out a dress"
"Does that mean chase finally asked you?" liberty asked
"Yes!" skye said, her tail wagging so fast that I couldnt really see it
" well, I need help picking out a dress as well" liberty said
"Wait, does that mean mason asked you" skye asked
"Yep" liberty said
"You guys go dress shopping, I know I wont be able to help" I said
"What do you mean?" liberty asked
"I would think you look great in all of them" I said
"Aw thats sweet" she replied
"Well we should go" said skye
"Bye, see you later" i said as they headed out to the mall
