Hannah's POV:
I ran down the hall with the piece of paper in my hand as it rippled in my fingers.
I went into the guest bedroom that Cam was sleeping in and saw him with his mouth half open which caused his snores to erupt from his lips.
"Cam" I whispered but he just snorted and turned over facing the wall.
"Cam" I said louder which caused him to jump and sit up with a tired and confused expression spread on his face.
He half smiled at me and scooted over for me to sit down on the king sized bed. I walked over and sat down next to him as he put an arm around me.
"What's up" he said quietly.
"Who's Bethany Dallas?" I questioned straight up without hesitation. His expression changed to a look of shock which then turned into a different expression.
He closed his eyes and let out a long sigh.
"She's our sister" he said as his eyes flickered open and starred into my confused ones.
"Our sister?" I whisper shouted as Hayes and Sofi- I mean, just Hayes was still in bed.
"Bethany wasn't....right up here if you know what I mean" he said pointing to his head as he explained.
"When she was 7 and you were 3, she tried to drown you in the bath tub. She tried to kill mom and she successfully killed my pet rat. Mom and dad had to give her to a hospital place for children with mental problems" he explained as I tested my head in his shoulder.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked a little hurt that he kept such important information from me.
"I just thought it'd be best if you didn't know" he said stroking a piece of my blonde hair behind my ear.
I just nodded my head and closed my eyes. The events of today/yesterday
-considering it was 4 in the morning- head really sucked the life out of me.Loosing someone I loved and cherished broke my heart and I don't think it will ever be fixed. Not properly. Maybe with a bit of glue and the right pieces, but it will never be the same again. It will never be able to hold as much love as it did before. Its to broken with to many holes and gaps, it would simply spill from the sides.
I know I can never get her back. And that kills me to know. I don't know if I can live with myself knowing I just handed her to Cam in Radley.
If I just stuck with my heart and kept hold of her, maybe she's still be here. But I didn't trust my now broken heart.
I could feel myself getting tired as the thoughts flashed through my mind. The last thought that played in my head was Sofia laughing.
The sweet sound of giggling erupting from her soft plump lips that reminded me of Hayes's.
Her bright blue eyes that sparkled and twinkle in the sunlight, closing momentarily as she laughed.
My body fell numb as my mind went blank. The thoughts and memories wiped from my mind as I drifted off to sleep.
Cams POV:
I was about to say something when I looked down to see Hannah's eyes closed and small quiet snores escape her lips.
I smiled as I gently laid her back as I did so to also pulling the covers of the king size bed over our bodies.
She snuggles into my side as I smiled and closed my eyes, but the smile soon faded as memories of being in Radley crowded my mind.
~FlashBack~
I ran with Sofia in my grasp as she cried and screamed in pain. I searched and searched for an escape but no such thing was insight. just plain walls and locked doors.
I got to another door and pulled down the handle expecting it to be another locked one but it wasn't. The door opened and I walked cautiously inside.
It seemed to be an information type room as it had pictures of me, Hayes, Sofia and Hannah inside hanging up with old string and wooden pegs.
Suddenly the door slammed behind me which caused me to jump and turn around sharply.
A hooded man was stood in front of me with a knife in his hand. He walked over and struggled to get Sofia off of me. I tried to fight back but I was at an unfair disadvantage with a child in hand.
He managed to grab Sofia and release her from my grip. He held the knife into her delicate pale skin.
"NO! PLEASE!" I screamed but he didn't listen. Instead, he cut her skin even more. I ran over and grabbed the knife.
We were both struggling to grip it as out grasps released and the knife fell to the floor.
We both looked at each other -well, I looked at the mask that covered his face- and bent down to grab it.
I got it first and lifted it in the air ready to stab him. I reached out and took Sofia as he stood there still so he wouldn't get stabbed.
I pointed the knife to his neck as I shuddered around causing us to switch places so I could get out of the door.
I reached behind me and opened the door as I ran out and down the corridor. I can't let her die. I cant.
I got to a window the had been broken. I lifted up Sofia and lifted her carefully out the window and placed her gently on the floor I then climbed up and jumped down being careful not to jump on Sofia.
I picked up her pale lifeless body as I carried her to the cars in the distance. Her cries were getting quieter and quieter as I struggled to run.
She stopped crying completely as I looked down and saw her eyes closing.
"No. Stay with me Sofia" I said trying to run as fast as I could to the cars. I looked down again as her eyes completely shut and her body fell limp in my arms.
I dropped onto my need and looked up at Hannah who was stood looking shocked as she stared at Sofia.
"i-im so s-sorry" I cried as her expression changed completely into one that understood what was happening.
She was watching her own daughter die.
And I'm the one holding her.
~FlashBack Over~
That was the last thing that went through my mind before my feelings became numb and darkness surrounded me.
