I paced in my room back and forth. Was I really going to be in a fight with Cain? Oh sure I was I mean look at our rivalry. I'm surprised that he accepted my challenge. I wonder was he trying to trick me. Nah. I highly doubt.
Julie came in saying that it was time. I looked at her, with disbelief, but as I looked at the monitor, I saw it. I grabbed my gloves and I left my room. I walked through the hallways and to the octagon. I was the first one in.
As I was with my crew, I saw my kids, Layla, Trevor and Riely, in the stands. They were there with my uncles, Toby Keith and Trace Adkins. "Mom can I have a hug!" Trevor called out. I leap onto the fence, and leaned down. I hugged my son, and fist bumped everyone else.
"Make us proud." Uncle Toby exclaimed.
"You got this mom!" Kayla yelled.
"And now, making his way to the cage. He is you Heavyweight champion... Cain Velasquez!" Cain came into the cage and threw off his shirt. He gave the ref the belt and looked at me dead in the eye.
"You know you have some nerve challenging me, for that belt." He growled.
"Ha Cain, please, it's not called challenging you... it's called having the balls to take that damn belt from you." I said right into his face. "Good luck." I reach out my hand.
"Good luck to you..." I lift my hand over my head and to my back.
"Nice try, Cain." I snarled at him, as I get in his face.
The bell rings, and he hits me in the jaw, causing me to go into the fence. I see him coming, so I kick him in the gut and punch him in the jaw. Making him fall back, but he caught himself. He runs and uppercuts me twice, in my jaw, and then hits my in my gut.
I spit a little blood, but not enough for the ref to call it. Cain comes at me and hits me in my eyebrow, causing it to bleed. He backs me up and hits me on the cheek causing me to bleed. I had enough. Round one ended.
Round two started and I was going to give him the worse fight ever. I go and hook him in the jaw, left and right, causing him to fall backwards. I kick him in the ribs, once twice.. more than eight times.... I think. I punch him in the gut, causing him to hold it. I go and hit him in the back. I grab him by the shoulders and hit him in the gut, one last time.
As he was bent down, I take the opportunity and gab him right in the jaw. Making him fall backwards. The ref comes over and claims me the champ. Hell yeah! I watched as the medics put Cain on a stretcher and carry him out of here.
"Make sure I get an update when you do." I whisper down to my manager.
"You got it." My kids ran into my arms, as I got out. I hugged them and my uncles.
"Making her way back into the cage, is your NEW heavyweight champion... Cassie Hunter!!!"
I got over the fence and made my way to the announcer, where I claimed my belt and raised it over my head. I got some pictures and then made my way to my room. I sat down and rested for a few before I had to leave back to Florida.
I rolled my head back, when my phone goes off. I hold it up to my face. I didn't know the number, but it could be one of siblings... So I answer it.
"Hello?" I asked, as my manager comes up to me, and was about to talk, when I raise my index finger.
"Hi. Is this UFC Heavyweight Champion, Cassie Hunter?" I heard from the other end.
"Yes this is. Who's this?" I questioned.
"This is Stephanie McMahon, from WWE. I was wondering... What would you do if I offered you a 1 million dollar, 5 year contract, with the WWE?"
"I would probably accept it. Why do you want me now?"
"Because we figured... Well I figured, that since the last time you signed with the WWE, was back in 2000; and maybe it was a good time to call. I am terribly sorry if this isn't the best of time to call."
"No Steph, it's not. Look I think now would be the best time to call. I am certain that this time, it will work out. When and where do you want me to be?"
"Can you be at the Staples Center, in Phoenix, Arizona, by this coming Monday night?"
"I can most definitely do that. I should be there, before hand."
"Okay that would be great. How much earlier can you be there?" I looked at the wall calendar. Since it was Thursday, I figured I could be there in two days. So Saturday.
"I can be there Saturday, Steph."
"Really? That would be great. I can go over some things with you, and get you involved with a few things, but not too much; since I know you'll be tired and sore."
"Nah not sore. Not even tired."
"Alright. That'll be great. Thank you for your time, Ms. Hunter."
"Oh please call me Cassie."
"Mind if I call you Cass?"
"Only if I can call you Steph."
"Then it's a done deal. Talk to you soon. Bye bye."
"Goodbye." I hung up the phone and looked at my manager.
"You was that?" She asked. I stood up and looked down at her. I walked behind the bench and grabbed my duffel bag.
"That was Stephanie McMahon, about my WWE contract, fifteen years ago."
"Why would she be calling now?""Because since the last time didn't work, that maybe this time was to work. Trust me. I can go and say that I need to become a part-time fighter, and just go from there. I have to be in Phoenix by Saturday. I want to head out, so that I can get there earlier than that. Hoping tomorrow night... if I can. Do you think you can take my kids back down to Florida, for me? Please?"
"I can do that, but I cannot be doing UFC and WWE. There is no way my body can deal with that much traveling."
"Okay. I'm sure Steph can get me one, for WWE. Thank you, so much." I hug her and say goodbye, to my kids and everyone else.
"When will you be back home, mom?" Layla asked me.
"I don't know kid; but I can promise to call you every night before or after a show. At least once a day. Who knows... Maybe someday you can come with me, on the road."
I hug them again and wave goodbye. I walk to the temporary office, of my boss. I talk to him about me needing to become a part-time fighter. He agreed, so that was great. I climb into the limo, waiting outside for me and go to the airport.
I get a ticket, for the next plane to Phoenix. I would be leaving in about an hour. Holy shit. Was I finally going to become a WWE wrestler? Who knows?
