Luna's POV
I walked in the door and found the Rivers sitting in the living room waiting for me.
"Where have you been? Detention was over two hours ago." Mr. Rivers almost yelled.
"I was with a friend I met in detention calm down." I rolled my eyes.
"A boy kind of friend?" Mrs. Rivers asked.
"No, as in our neighbor friend. Her name is Savannah and if you dont believe me then go next door." I placed both of my hands on my hips fairly annoyed.
"Savannah? Oh, that's great! She could use a friend after everything that has happened to her. Though its unsual since she doesnt really have any friends." Mrs.Rivers commented.
"She does now." I smiled.
"Im so glad, we were just worried something had happened to you." She hugged me. "Go get cleaned up for dinner please." She let go of me.
"Yes ma'am." I lightly laughed and started walking to my room upstairs. But before I walked much I herd her whispering.
"Did you hear that? She actually laughed! Mrs. Rivers said. "Maybe she's turning around and starting to love us."
"I know, she's never laughed in this house." Mr.Rivers said. "Now let me help you set the table sweetheart."
I smiled as I slightly eavesdroped and continued walking to my room for a cold shower.

I washed the dishes as Mrs.Rivers dried them. For some reason I couldn't get my mind off what Savannah told me about Greyson. What could he really have gone through? He looks perfectly normal and annoying to me.
"Are you okay honey?" Mrs.Rivers asked.
"Um, yeah." I shrugged and finished my last plate. "Can I go to the neighbors for some help on my homework."
"Sure, I'm sure Savannah would love your company." She smiled.
"I was actually talking about the Hastings house." I took a slight look up at her waiting for approval.
"I don't know if that is a good idea." She looked unsure.
"Why?"
"The Hastings can be a little... hypocritical. A lot has happened to that family and they now just pretend their perfect. But their son is a good kid, spoiled and arrogant but never the less, good." She dried the last plate. "Go ahead dear."
"Thanks Mrs.Rivers!" I quickly hugged her.
"For the hundredth time call me Joan." She laughed. "Now go before it get too late, remember its a school night so be back before 10." She looked at her hand watch. "You've got an hour and half."
I nodded and went to grab my notebook. I walked to the Hasting's front door and knocked three times before a maid opened it.
"Um, is Greyson home?" I moved my feet side to side a little anxious. I took a glance inside and saw Greyson's girlfriend walk up some stairs. "Never mind." I shook my head and walk-ran back to my house.
What the hell was I thinking? Why would I even go to his house? It's not my business what he has gone through anyway.

"Sooo what's up for today?" Savannah almost skipped towards me with big smile plastered on her face.
This past week we've been inseparable, like two peas in a pod. Ever since I went to Greyson's house last week we haven't spoke, though it didn't bother me since we weren't friends in the first place. I've talked to Alec in class every now and then so guess that means two weeks of being in a new school and I have a new best friend and a half friend? The thought made me laugh. That's practically more than I've had all my life. I'm more of a solo person so that for me was an achievement. Savannah was actually the coolest person ever.
