Luna's  POV

~*~

"Is this funny to you? This means lighting, thunder and darkness for a whole day." I rolled my eyes.

"No L, this means you in my arms 24 hours." He kissed the top of my head as another lighting struck making me hold on to him harder.

"You are totally taking advantage of my fear, not cool." I rolled my eyes. I didn't even dare to wrap my hands around him and even so having him so near with his arm around me just made me feel the strangest way.

"Fine, if you think that I'll just get another room and let go of you." He slowly started to let go.

"24 hours, I can do 24 hours. Just please don't leave." I looked up at him again feeling kind of weird. I really didn't want to be alone especially on days like these. If there is something that I hate its feeling vulnerable. Why can't it just be raining spiders or frogs, those don't freak me out like the stupid lightning.

He looked at me as if his eyes were to get lost in mine. Slowly he brought his head down closer to mine, I could smell his minty breath. I knew he was going to kiss me but before he could I turned my face away and rested my head on his chest. He didn't say anything, he just rubbed my back softly with his hand. We watched tv until I started to get tired, my eyelids felt like each weighed a ton. Rainy day always make me super sleepy.

"Wake me up in an hour or so." I said before turning over to the other side away from him, and closing my eyes completely until I fell asleep.

"Here put this dress on, maybe he won't fight today."

"Okay." I quickly changed not wanting another bruise to hide from school. It was hard to cover the ones I already had.

"Now lets go down stairs and eat diner." She pushed me towards the door.

We walked to the dining room and placed the plates. He entered the room already drunk, I could tell by the way he stumbled with each step. "Where is the fucking food already? Serve me!" He yelled at his wife as he stumbled to sit in his chair. "You!" He pointed at me. "Go get me some damn food!"

I hurried to the kitchen. "Please hurry." My eyes watered as waited for her to give me his food.

He entered the kitchen and pulled me by my pony tail. "What the hell is taking so long uh?" I knew better than to yell from how much it hurts, he yanks my hair again. "You are so useless you can't even bring me some damn food?!" I stayed silent and he let go of my hair to walk over to his wife and slap her so hard that her cheek turned bright red.

"Stop!" I yelled.

"You don't tell me what to do!" That earned me a smack on the face to. It burned so bad I started to cry.

"You little girl are a worthless piece of shit!" He stormed out.

"I know I'm not...I'm not..." I cried to myself as his wife went after him. Tears just kept pouring down my face, I wasn't even hungry anymore. "I know I'm not worthless." I touched my burning cheek softly.

"Luna?..." I could hear a voice far away. "Wake up." I recognized Greyson's voice.

I slightly opened my eyes finding myself completely wrapped around him.

"Are you okay? It seemed like you were having a really bad dream." His facial expression looked worried.

"Not a bad dream, just reminder that there is no space left to be weak in anyway." I let go of him and got up from the bed. "Being vulnerable makes you a target to be someone's victim. I grabbed a chair from the mini kitchen and opened the curtains revealing the storm with its vast winds, rain, thunder and lighting. I placed the chair and sat just watching the storm go on, only this time I did not let myself close my eyes when lighting struck or when the sky rumbled loudly.

"Come back to bed."

"No, just leave me alone okay. You can stay there and I can stay here."

"You don't have to prove anything, you don't always have to be strong." He said softly.

"Yes I do, being weak just isn't an option. I can't let a stupid thunderstorm scare me, I can't let anything scare me.." My voice cracked at the end.

I can hear his footsteps getting closer to me.

"They are just nightmares kitten. You are safe, I promise." He placed a hand on my should making me flinch at his touch. "You want to be all tough?"

"Yes." I responded.

"Fine, then come to bed and we will watch the best horror movies known to man." He knelt in front of me. "What do you say?" He smiled at me showing his perfect teeth.

His gesture was so sweet, my anger from my dream faded.

"Looking at your face is horror enough." I playfully pushed him away.

"Take that back." He got closer to my face.

"Umm, how about no."

"Take it back or else." He got a little serious.

"Or else what?"

"You gave me no choice." He had an evil grin on his face. Just like that he picked me up from the chair and practically threw me back on the bed as he tickled my sides. "Say you're sorry."

"Heee—eelll no." I laughed trying to make him stop.

He kept tickling me as I tried to dodge and block his hands. We rolled around the bed until we landed on the floor with a loud thump and when I say loud thump I mean that it hurt like hell because I landed on the ground while he landed on me. We were face to face, just an inch away from each other as out breaths clashed. We stared at each other for a good 3 long seconds.

"Get off you sack of potatoes." I laughed nervously.

"Didn't you just not learn not to insult me?" He didn't move. I tried pushing him of but he barely budged.

"Get off or I will scream bloody murder."

"I don't think your scream can beat the thunder." He smirked.

"Just get off before I can't breathe geez." I think he remembered when I actually can't breathe because he immediately got off of me. He offered me his hand to get up and I took it just to pull him back down as I got up. "That trick never fails." I laugh. I felt him grab my ankle as I tried to walk forward making me fall back down with him. "Asshole." I blew some hair out of my face.

"That trick also never fails." He smirked.

"Shut up smartass." I laughed lightly.

"So how about those horror movies?" He asked.

"I'm not so big on horror movies." We both got up and laid back down on the bed.

"Well you did say there is no space to be weak in anyway."

"Are you mocking me?" I glared at him.

"Hey just saying what you said." He turned on the television to a horror movie called Annabelle. "Have you seen this one?"

"Nope."

"Annabelle it is then." He smiled.

"You are evil you know that?" I sigh.

"You secretly love it though." He chuckled.

"In your dreams Hastings." A thunder struck.

"Every night." He winked at me and blew me a kiss.

"Oh, shut up." I laughed as I hit him with a pillow.
