Luna's POV

~*~

"Dear students please remember our pep rally after school, don't miss out!" Someone announced through the speaker in the hallway making me cringe. It is too damn early.

I opened my locker to get my notebook for first period which I unfortunately had with Hastings. Ever since the party he's barely said anything to me and he's also been at Macy's side like gum on a sidewalk on a hot summer day. He didn't even help me on the paper that we were partnered up in, he was lucky Alec convinced me to put his name on it. Not that I care though he was annoying as it is and plus it's been a month so who cares anyways. The bell rang signaling for us to go to class.

"Great." I shut my locker and blew a piece of hair out my sight. This was going to be a long day. I walked to class taking my own time and sat at my seat. Either everyone was super early or I was late because my seat was the only one empty.

"Late again Ms. Smith?" Ms. Hitch sounded annoyed. It was more than obvious since day one that she hates my guts which I don't know why. Since when is it a crime to talk back to teachers? I skip her class enough for her to just chill anyways. "I'm surprised you've even graced us with your presence this morning." She forced a smile.

"Well you know me Ms. Hitch I'm always so kind so your welcome, I hope you very much enjoy my presence." I gave her the same forced smile she did me. Her faced got red as a tomato from anger but she said nothing and continued with the class.

"I bet you think your so cool to speak to her like that huh?" Greyson scoffed.

"Excuse me Hastings?" I looked to the side towards him.

"Oh you can hear just fine last time I checked." He smiled sarcastically.

"Macy is the biggest stuck up bitch that I know and even then I don't know why she would consider going out with an ass like you." I fired back.

"Ouch, you hurt my rich little feelings." He pouted.

I've never wanted to punch him so bad before. He's been like this since the night of the party and I don't know why but if he thinks I'm going to put up with it he's more than crazy. But then again giving him the time of day is just like fueling a fire so I chose to ignore him and rest my head down and take a nap as usual in this lame class.

~*~

It was lunch time, thank the heavens because I felt so damn tired already and the day is only half over, I seriously loath Mondays. I sat with Savannah and Alec as usual inside the cafeteria.

"Hey." Alec greeted me as I sat down.

"Hey Freeman." I smiled.

"So now that the two most important girls in my life-" Alec got interrupted by the french fry I threw at him for saying that. "What was that for? I've learned to seriously care for you and Savannah over these two months. I mean if I weren't with you two besides Greyson 24/7 then I'd be a lost at sea." He said the last part very theatrically trying not to laugh and placed his hand on his chest like Greyson does. "And that does not deserve a French fry to the face."

"Well you deserved that French fry to the face because you said two important girls and we are three." I pointed at Savannah's belly making her laugh.

"Point made. I'm sorry little one." He rubbed Savannah's belly. "Alright so what I was going to say is that there is a senior camping trip. I have a cabin near the site that they are going to be at next weekend so we can go to parties and everything without actually taking the stupid teacher hikes or sleeping in tents. What do you think?"

"I'm in." Savannah said. "This belly cannot be sleeping on the ground and I'd rather do that than being home alone for the weekend."

"Hell yeah, I'm in too!" I gave him a hi five.

And just like always to ruin the moment Greyson sat at our table with Macy.

"Are you guys coming on the senior trip?" Alec asked Greyson.

"You bet your ass bro!" He scooted Macy in a little as he looked at me as if it were going to make me jealous when it really wasn't.

"Oh,  great." I rolled my eyes.

"You have a problem with my boyfriend going new girl?" Macy hissed at me.

"A few, you know if you would have him on a tight leash then maybe I wouldn't." I winked and her faced completely flushed. She looked over at Greyson furious.

He glared at me and then faced Macy again. "Don't worry baby. Don't listen to her she's just mad at life, you know how it is with them." He played it off.

"With them?" I asked. My blood was at a boiling point by now.

"Yeah, with them as in foster kids." She snarled at me. "Your right baby and just like you said the other night that we only sit with her because she's a foster kid and we feel sorry for her." She started laughing.

If I had a heart I think it would explode at this minute and let me tell you, I've been through some tough shit in life. I looked over at Savannah and she just shook her head signaling me not to do or say anything. Alec slammed the table with his fist and told Macy to shut the hell up. I looked over at Greyson in disbelief. "You really said that?" I straight faced stared at him.

"Obviously, we are filthy rich why else would we hang out with the people who pick the gum off our shoes? Or did you think that my boyfriend actually liked you?" She kept laughing. "Shouldn't you be like deported or something?"

I balled my fists from the anger I felt. I wanted to jump on her like a wild tiger and rip all her hair of and leave her with two black eyes but even she wasn't worth risking being changed from my home again. A knot in my throat formed and I wasn't about to let her feel good about herself watching my cry. Walking out of the cafeteria my body felt tingly and hot. When finally reaching an empty hallway I let my body slump on the lockers as I slid down to sit. The warm tears streamed my face, my tears weren't from crying they were from the fury I felt.

"Luna?" I wiped all the tears away quickly.

"What did you come to feel sorry for me or for me to pick the gum off you shoe?" I looked away.

"Luna please." Greyson pleaded as I heard him take a step closer.

I wiped the rest of my face and got up to face him. "I don't give two fucks what you said about me to your little girlfriend okay?" I sniffled and got closer to his face. "I've heard it all Hastings, all the insults and humiliations that you could imagine so your words don't hurt." A tear rolled down my cheek and when he tried to wipe it off I smacked his hand away. "I used to think you were just an annoying rich kid who needed a little attention but now I see you for the true hypocrite that you really are. And don't let tears fool you Hastings, they are made of pure fury so don't go flattering yourself. You and people like you disgust me and for the record I'm the one who feel sorry for you. That emptiness you feel inside makes you an equal to me your highness with the exception that I'm not a lowlife like you." I looked at him in disgust and walked away.
