Wakatoshi took a good look at him. His flushed face had suddenly got as pale as if he was sick. His hands were still squeezing the ball, but his shoulders were shaking.

Wakatoshi frowned. He had not anticipated this. He was rather speaking matter-of-factly.

- Is this why... you wouldn't... talk to me... for days?! – Satori whined now, very close to tears.

Ushijima got up to his feet quickly and grabbed him, almost violently, and pressed him in a hug. Tendō did not resist; the ball fell to the ground with a dull thud. They grabbed at each other again, as the red-head clutched at Wakatoshi's sweaty T-shirt with all his might.

- W-why???

- My love... - Wakatoshi started off sternly. – You need to calm down. I am talking hypothetically. It is events that won't be happening in the next 30 years, at least! I just... wanted to hear... your opinion. Satori... Satori, breathe.

They held each other for a very long time, sweating together, breathing together, as Tendō's small whining sounds faded out completely, and as the sun was moving closer and closer to the skyline of the rooftops, surrounding the sore patch that was the playground they were in.

- I love you. – Wakatoshi assured him once he felt that the grip on his shirt lessened.

Satori sniffled.

- This, officially, is the worst marriage proposal of the century. – he whimpered.

Wakatoshi thought about it. Well, it was true.

- I don't have a ring. But... what do you say?

It was against all rules. It was also so much against Wakatoshi's nature, to be playing against the rules, that Satori had to wonder just how much his lover had changed through the years.

But, matching his Toshi's practical energy, he now mumbled:

- Let's wait out until the mourning period is over. Let's wait a year. We can do it next summer.

Wakatoshi nodded. It sounded reasonable.

- This way, you will have enough time to FUCKING CHANGE YOUR MIND! – Tendō hissed at him now, still mad at him.

- Not probable. Nigh impossible. – Ushijima informed him.

Satori hid a smile.

- Also, I want a new kitchen. ASAP. What I have to work in right now is a disgrace!

Wakatoshi blushed. All of this – it meant a "yes".

- I'd do anything for the one I love. – he murmured now, as they separated, and looked each other in the eyes.

- Oh? – Satori didn't look amused, but there was a small, playful flame in his eyes that burned now. – And who might that fool be? I pity him!!!

- It's you. It's always been you. Only you.

Tendō knew the answer. Of course he did. Looking smug now, he stood on tiptoe and murmured into the most perfect lips in the world:

- Take me home. Husband.

It was a registered, and well-documented fact (Satori took a billion photos, easy) that Wakatoshi could not stop blushing and smiling, even when alone, even a week after that conversation.

They got to doing some small renovations, and changed the furniture, starting with the bed. Satori got his modern, shiny kitchen, and he was so very happy about it that he soon started making videos again, bragging with the new equipment.
