The night was still when a sharp intake of breath shattered the silence. Security personnel were alerted by suspicious movements near the palace. A cold sweat broke out as the gravity of the situation dawned upon them.

Devraj was jolted awake by the commotion. His mind raced as he assessed the situation. He knew he had to act fast. With lightning speed, he secured the doors to his family's rooms, ensuring their safety. Armed with two guns and extra bullets, he moved silently through the palace, his senses heightened.

The first encounter was in the grand hall. A masked figure lunged at him, a glint of steel flashing in the dim light. Devraj reacted instinctively, firing a warning shot at the intruder's feet.

"Who are you?" Devraj demanded, his voice low and menacing.

The attacker, undeterred, charged again, a knife glinting in their hand. Devraj dodged the attack, firing another shot, this time aiming for the attacker's arm. A cry of the intruder pain echoed through the hall.

As he cautiously opened the door, a figure emerged from the darkness, a gun raised. Devraj reacted instinctively, firing a shot that sent the intruder crashing to the ground. The ensuing firefight was intense, bullets whizzing past him. He moved with a deadly precision, his training taking over.

"You won't get away with this!" he shouted at him, his voice filled with rage. The intruders, outnumbered and outmatched, began to retreat. But Devraj was relentless, his determination fueled by the need to protect his family and kingdom.

He moved from cover to cover, his aim deadly accurate. With each shot, an intruder fell, their plans crumbling around them.

As the last echoes of gunfire faded, a lone figure emerged from the shadows. He moved with a calculated grace, a dangerous glint in his eyes. Devraj, sensing the heightened threat, positioned himself strategically, his weapon aimed at the intruder.

"Who sent you?" Devraj demanded, his voice low and menacing.

The intruder, a cold-blooded killer, refused to answer. Devraj, sensing the futility of words, fired a warning shot. The bullet grazed the intruder's shoulder, sending him reeling.

"I asked you a question," Devraj repeated, his voice laced with steel.

The intruder, now realizing the gravity of the situation, finally spoke. "Allen Scorpio," he gritted out, his voice barely a whisper."He wants you to suffer, to live in constant fear. He wants to destroy your family."

Devraj's grip tightened around the gun. Allen Scorpio, a name that had echoed through the corridors of power, was finally a tangible threat. He was no longer just a name in a file; he was the architect of this attack, the enemy who dared to challenge the Varma dynasty.

Searching the intruder's body, Devraj found a small device. It was a communication device, a link to the mastermind behind the attack. He activated it, his voice cold and calculated. "Devraj Varma here. I know you sent these men. You've made a grave mistake."

There was a pause on the other end, followed by a sinister chuckle. "You will pay for this, Varma," the voice growled.

Devraj's grip tightened on the device. "I'll be the one making you pay. Just count your days," he responded.

Devraj's eyes narrowed. The name was familiar, a name associated with darkness. "Tell him," Devraj warned, "that Devraj Varma is coming for him. As long as I draw breath, he cannot get what he want but the only thing he will get is his death."

The intruder, sensing the unwavering resolve in Devraj's voice, nodded, fear evident in his eyes. With a final glance at Devraj, he turned and fled into the night.

The battle was over, but the war had just begun. Devraj stood in the aftermath, the weight of the responsibility heavy on his shoulders. He had faced a deadly threat, and emerged victorious, but the enemy was still at large. He should not make a move at this time considering the coronation was in next 2 days.

Devraj instructed his security personnel to clean up the mess, ensuring no evidence remained. The traces of the confrontation had to vanish without a trace. With a sense of grim determination, he unlocked the doors to his family members' rooms. They were asleep, their peaceful breaths a stark contrast to the chaos he had just witnessed.

A wave of protectiveness washed over him. He had to ensure their safety at all costs. He returned to his room, his mind racing. He pulled out his phone and dialed Yuvraj. The call connected almost immediately.

"Yuvraj, it's Dev," he said, his voice low and urgent.

"Dev, what's going on? Is everything alright?" Yuvraj responded, his voice filled with concern.

"We were attacked," Devraj replied, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins. "Allen Scorpio is behind this."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Yuvraj responded, "I knew this would happen. He tried to attack us thrice before. Once when you were away, once at the beach and during the homam."

Devraj was stunned. "He tried to stop the homam?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

"Yeah," Yuvraj replied, his voice laced with anger. "But I managed to fend him off. He's desperate, Dev. We need to be extra cautious."

Dev responded " Then lets fulfill his itch, Its time to remove one more pending folder"

They discussed the situation in detail, sharing intelligence and strategizing countermeasures. As they hung up, Devraj felt a sense of resolve. He knew they were in for a long and dangerous battle, but he was ready to face it. Moreover yuvi is enough to close a person like Allen. The safety of his family, his kingdom, and his people was his top priority.
