The weight of the decision hung heavy in the air, a palpable tension between them. Rani Devi and Radha, their faces etched with worry, waited for Devraj's response.

The silence stretched, each tick of the clock seeming to amplify the gravity of the situation. Finally, Devraj lifted his head, his eyes filled with a determination that belied the turmoil within.

"I will make the pledge," he declared, his voice firm. The decision was made, a heavy burden lifted from his shoulders. "I will claim the throne. I will face whatever challenges come my way."

Rani Devi's heart ached, a mixture of pride and sorrow. She understood the weight of his decision, the sacrifices he was willing to make. Yet, the shadow of the curse loomed large, a constant reminder of the uncertain future.

"I know this is not an easy decision, my son," she said, her voice gentle. "But remember, we are here for you, always. Together, we will face whatever comes our way."

Devraj nodded, a sense of resolve strengthening his spirit. He turned to Radha, who offered him a supportive smile. "I promise to protect him, Rani," she said, her voice filled with determination.

A wave of gratitude washed over Devraj. Surrounded by the love and support of his family, he felt a surge of strength. The path ahead was fraught with challenges, but he was ready to face them head-on. The kadiyem, once a symbol of uncertainty, now felt like a beacon of hope, a reminder of the legacy he was about to inherit.

Rani Devi's heart swelled with pride as she looked at her son, his determination unwavering. Yet, a mother's instinct prodded her to delve deeper. "This is a monumental decision, Devraj," she began, her voice filled with a mixture of pride and concern. "How do you envision handling your responsibilities? The empire you've built, your commitments..."

Devraj understood her apprehension. "Mother, I have already begun laying the groundwork. Yuvraj will take over the reins of the company. He's more than capable of handling the day-to-day operations. As for the kingdom, we can modernize its administration, making it more efficient and effective."

A flicker of hope ignited in Rani Devi's heart. Perhaps there was a way to navigate this challenging path without sacrificing everything.

"But Anika," she said, her voice filled with concern.  "I need to see her, to explain everything, to prepare her for what lies ahead. I need your permission to visit her one last time before I embark on this journey."

Rani Devi hesitated. She understood the importance of this farewell, the need for closure. With a heavy heart, she nodded. "Of course, my son. Go, tell her everything. Let her know what she's stepping into. And remember, you have our unwavering support."

"I will, Mother," Devraj assured her. "I promise to return with answers. The coronation will take place after the Homam, which will be conducted in the coming months. Until then, I need time to prepare myself and the kingdom for the transition."

Rani Devi nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of their decision. The path ahead was fraught with uncertainties, but with Devraj's courage and their unwavering support, they would face the future together.

Devraj arrived at Anika's residence, the weight of the world pressing down on his shoulders. A detachment of guards followed him, their presence a stark reminder of the gravity of the situation.

Anika's father welcomed him with a somber expression. "Rani Devi garu has informed us of everything," he said, his voice heavy with concern. "Anika is in the backyard."

Devraj nodded, his heart pounding. He sought a moment alone with Anika, a chance to explain everything without the added pressure of watchful eyes.

As he stepped into the backyard, he found Anika sitting on a swing, her face a mask of tranquility. The sight of her, her serene beauty amidst the chaos brewing within him, was both a comfort and a torment.
