Eight month pregnant and she was feeling ever ounce of it , from the fact she could put her own shoes on without the help of another although ben barely let her side , although he crack jokes that made her what to strangle him sometimes it was well kinda handy . she had to get clothes that didn't make her feel like winnie the pooh and even though it had her exhausted she found herself enjoying the shopping even hughie was finding himself looking for gag onesies . Her hormones where something else too often finding herself crying at the most stupid things or well doing stupid thing like precisely the one she was doing at the very moment .
" you know this absolutely bat shit crazy right i mean not that i'm not supportive of what you do but even i can see this fucking nut" ben chuckled watching as she signed the papers at the desk . although he was excited to see the expressions on peoples faces when you both got home hell he'd even have his phone ready so he could keep them as memories.
"it's not crazy look at his little face i mean how could you not just take him and he's good with kids and house trained so like its not that much of a hassle" she sighed happily rubbing her belly almost like a reflex now as she looked down at the picture she had printed out . one she saw that morning on the tv with the sad music that had her crying into her bowl of cereal as the furry face laced the screen as she sniffled and instantly she needed him there and then. so she grabbed ben and here they were sitting at front desk of the animal shelter ready to take the puppy home because of her need to take care and protect and mind it . all the while those were the points of reason she gave ben before they got out of the car and he rolled his eyes only earning a glare in return.
She walked around the pet store cart in beds hands while she was allowed to picked out smalls thing like toys and bowls til she tsked away as ben took over so her job was to now just point at things she wanted although that was just as fun til her feet got sore and the two finished up so she could go home and rest up and well to prepare how to approach the subject of introducing the new edition . the bonus part was the water works didn't take too long . "you ready" ben asked her a smug grin on his face. " maybe take the long way home " she winced looking back as the pet carrier.
She walked in quietly checking around as she headed into the main living room to which was filled with everyone watching tv with her dad. " what the fuck is that" the brit called. " erm well funny thing was .... you know ...." she smiled weakly how to explained .
" hey i know him , he was on the tv this morning when you cried for like an hour" frenchie pointed to the puppy in her arms . " i didn't cry for an hour .. he needs a home and the baby needs a friend" she smiled . " baby won't anything love" butcher snorted. " she will she's her mothers daughter , look at that cute face" she cooed down at the puppy. " he is adorable plus it's nice to have more good around here" annie spoke up . " what's it's name sweetheart" butcher sighed knowing it was best to just accept it . " his name is dexter " She beamed. " what kind of dog is it" her dad asked confused. " american pitbull isn't he so cute" she smiled. " don't they eat babies" MM Asked wided eyed. " not if they're trained and loved right " she rolled her eyes putting him . " i have his shit here" ben walked in carrying everything as everyone watched the puppy sniffing around . " can you help me put this stuff down and out for him" she asked softly. " one of dog beds is for our room , one for the kitchen and in here" she added as they took the stuff out of soldier boys hand . " he is a cutie" hughie smiled . " can't believe you got a fucking dog" butcher snorted. " he's our baby too" she glared at the man . "i see the resemblance" soldier boy chuckled looking between butcher and the puppy. " he's better looking"butcher laughed kissing her head. " no one let her watch any more shelter videos" he added looking around the room
