“I’m too young and pretty to die!”

Sunghoon laughed as he pulled Sunoo close, the omega holding onto him for dear life as he wobbled on the ice.

“At least you won’t die a virgin.” Sunghoon teased and Sunoo’s grip tightened on the alpha’s jacket.

“Don’t make fun of me when I’m vulnerable!” Sunoo whined, burying his face in the alpha’s chest with a pathetic whimper. “I can’t do this!”

“Yes you can!” Sunghoon encouraged and gently began skating backwards to get Sunoo used to moving. “I’ve got you. Nothing bad’s gonna happen to you with me here, I promise.”

The two of them were alone in the ice rink and Sunghoon had convinced Sunoo to give ice skating a second try. And while Sunoo still had sore memories from the first time he had visited this ice rink, it had also been how he’d met Sunghoon which was why he’d always have a special place in his heart for the sport.

So, equipped with a pair of rental skates that Sunghoon had paid for, Sunoo had managed to wobble around the ice thanks to a death grip he had on the alpha’s hand.

“If I die here, Jungwonnie’s gonna be so mad at you!” Sunoo said, legs trembling as Sunghoon gently guided them around the ice at a leisurely pace.

“Trust me, I know.” Sunghoon laughed and the sound was so cute to Sunoo that it momentarily distracted him from his fear.

The two of them managed to do one lap of the rink before taking a break to lean against the railing.

“Thank you for being here!” Sunoo threaded his cold fingers with Sunghoon’s and gave his palm an affectionate squeeze. “It really means a lot!”

“Of course. I like sharing my favorite things with my favorite people!”

“I’m your favorite?” Sunoo couldn’t help but smile smugly when Sunghoon leaned in for a quick kiss.

“The fact that you even have to ask that means I don’t tell you enough.” Sunghoon said and pulled Sunoo close by the hips, making the omega squeal.

“Let’s get off the ice before we get too steamy.” Sunoo giggled as he rested his forehead against Sunghoon’s, breathing in the familiar scent of his cologne. At least he could blame his wobbly knees on the skates.

“Nice try, but you’re not getting out of your lesson early.” Sunghoon smiled and went back to leading Sunoo around the ice, this time keeping his distance to force the omega to stop clinging onto him.

“No, I wasn’t made for this!” Sunoo was back to wailing as he struggled to keep his balance. “This is crazy! I’m wearing knife shoes and waddling around like a drunk penguin- this isn’t natural!”

“Lucky for you, penguins are my favorite animal.” Sunghoon said and guided Sunoo into doing a little spin that had him gasping in delight.

“Oh my God, I just spun around.” Sunoo’s eyes widened as he peered up at Sunghoon. “I should try out for the Olympics!”

The two of them were so busy giggling together that they barely noticed the person making their way down the stairs and approaching the nearest railing.

“Yah! Park Sunghoon!”

Sunghoon froze, his look of delight turning into a customer service smile as he turned around.

“Hey! Long time no see!” He greeted the other person. Sunoo peered around Sunghoon’s body to see who he was talking to and his eyes widened at the familiar sight.

It was one of Sunghoon’s groupies, but instead of wearing a lovestruck smile the omega was glaring daggers at both of them. He crushed the stuffed penguin he had in his grip, nearly throttling the poor thing, as he leaned over the railing.

“Who the hell is that?” The omega gestured at Sunoo who let out an “eep” and tried to use Sunghoon’s broad frame to hide behind.

“This is Sunoo!” Sunghoon grabbed onto Sunoo’s shoulders and gently dragged him over the ice so he was standing next to him. “He’s my…uh…”

Both Sunoo and the other omega waited to see where this sentence was going.

“He’s my boyfriend!” Sunghoon finally said and pulled Sunoo close with an awkward little smile.

This was the best day of Sunoo’s life. Not only had he gotten the coveted ‘boyfriend’ title from Sunghoon, but it was happening in front of the alpha’s most annoying groupie. If Sunoo were to immediately die in a freak ice skating accident right after this, then at least he’d die happy.

“Oh. Okay.” The other omega took a step back as if trying to avoid catching their cooties. Which was very romantic to Sunoo, by the way. Their cooties. He and Sunghoon were that close now, they shared everything!

“We’re very happy together.” Sunoo said and rested a hand on Sunghoon’s chest, trying to resist his smile from turning into a smirk.

“Please support me in my future endeavors!” Sunghoon bowed low like he was a celebrity doing an interview, hands clasped together in a prayer.

The other omega stared at them for so long that Sunoo feared that the cold of the ice rink had frozen him over. If only he had a warm, strong alpha like Sunghoon to cuddle!

“I think this is where our relationship ends.” The other omega finally said, damn near strangulating the poor stuffed penguin in his hands. “I always felt like it was a little…one sided…”

Sunghoon, bless his soul, just kept smiling.

“I understand.” He nodded and held up a hand to wave goodbye. “See you around?”

“Oh I’ll see you, but you won’t be seeing me.” The other omega said ominously.

“...okay?” Sunghoon’s smile fell a little at that and he moved to skate away from the railing. Under his breath he mumbled; “Why is everyone around me so fucking weird?”

“If everyone’s weird but you, then maybe you’re the weird one.” Sunoo playfully suggested, keeping his eyes on the other omega that Sunghoon had just turned his back on. Maybe omega’s intuition was real and not just a tummy ache that Jungwon was always having…

“You’re so smart.” Sunghoon praised and leaned in to steal another kiss. Out of the corner of his eye, Sunoo watched in horror as the other omega wound his arm up like a baseball player and launched the stuffed penguin right at Sunghoon’s head. “Ow!”

With a huff, the other omega stomped up the stairs and disappeared out the rink.

“Are you okay?!” Sunoo inspected Sunghoon for signs of a concussion even though he had just been hit by a stuffed animal. Really, Sunoo should have been checking that poor penguin for damage after making contact with Sunghoon’s skull.

“I’m fine, I’m fine!” Sunghoon said, although he seemed happy to let Sunoo fuss over him for another moment or two. “Maybe that was God punishing me for calling you my boyfriend without permission.”

Sunoo laughed at that and smoothed Sunghoon’s hair down one last time before settling his hands on the alpha’s shoulders.

“No need for punishment.” Sunoo reassured and rewarded Sunghoon with a shy peck to the cheek. “You just made me the happiest omega in the world!”

“Well now you match me.” Sunghoon said, smiling with relief. “The happiest alpha in the world.”

And then Sunoo hastily let Sunghoon go to waddle over to the stuffed penguin laying on the ice.

“This is mine now.” Sunoo announced from where he had plopped down on the ice, hugging the plushie tight. “It’ll make me remember this moment forever!”

“So fucking cute.” Sunghoon grinned. “Now try getting up without my help.”

“Wha- ? You know I can’t! Hyung! You’ve only been my boyfriend for like ten seconds and you’re already neglecting me- !?”
