Slow Hands
SHE SMILED walking over to the group of storm chasers, adjusting her black paint-splatter button-down shirt, yellow ziggy stardust, and ripped jeans. Aiden and Ryan followed close behind her.
"Ben you decided to stick around," Tyler says to the reporter. The man smirked looking at Kate, "There is more to this story than I thought." Ben answered.
"We got a new ending for you," Tyler tells him, looking behind him at Connie. She crossed her arm giving a wave of her fingers.
"Look who it is." The man, Dexter spoke up smiling at the two women. She smiled at him, shaking his hand. "Big ol City girls." He teased, she chuckled.
"Finally decided to ditch all those squares?" He asked Kate and Connie. She shrugged, "Right on." He encouraged.
"You guys missed a big one." The girl with dreadlocks, Lilly tells them showing the iPad. "Oh wow," Kate says.
"Looks like the intake was heavier this time," Connie comments. Kate raised a brow. "Can you rig this drone to collect data?" Kate pondered. Lilly shrugged.
"I can do that." She stated, "Oh she can do that." Dexter agreed, Lilly looked up at the two boys. Aiden wearing his stetson he had been shy of showing off.
"Hey, aren't you two with Storm Parr?" Lilly wondered. He shrugged looking to his friend."Formerly, I go where she goes," Aiden tells her. Connie bashfully waved him off. "He's just saying that." Connie smiled.
"Kate if you want even more help on that data, I have something for you," Aiden tells the blonde. She knitted her brows.
Ryan jogged to the van and back, in his hands a blue and white RC car with a blue panel on top. Connie's mouth parted in shock. Kate stepped up, running her fingers along the gadget.
"This is THOR, I can rework his readings to get your data," Aiden explains to her. She nodded impressed at his offer, "That would be great, thank you." She says. He smirked.
"Hey!" A voice spoke up, they turned around and saw a woman with short black hair, Dani, walking over to them. The dealer manager beside her.
"Y'all ready?" She wondered. They nodded, following behind as she explained exactly what they needed.
"We need a forty-foot trailer, that's wide enough for a pickup heavy enough to anchor barrels in a hundred-mile-hour wind," Dani tells him.
"Why the hell would you want that?" The manager wonders. Dani, at a loss of words, turned to Kate to answer.
"Why the hell do we want that?" She repeats, Kate turns to Connie, she waves for her to answer. She cleared her throat."Well because when we drive into a tornado, we want whatever is on the trailer to get sucked into it but not us." She briefly tells him. The man looked at them puzzled.
