Aurore joined her, “Today, hundreds of amazing new friendships will be created all over Paris. Right, Mireille?”
“You got it, Aurore. Once again, buddies, this year you and your secret new friend, picked at random, will go on an exciting adventure across Paris, searching for a hidden celebrity.”
“And this time, our celebrity is none other than the muse of Gabriel brand: the one and only Adrien Agreste!”
Adrien walked on camera, “Hello.”
My eyes dropped to the text message the hidden celebrity himself sent me.
‘come find me <3’
Stupid asshole putting me to work on my day of relaxation.
“Let me recap the rules for our buddies here. When Adrien pushes this button, thousands of text messages will be simultaneously sent all across Paris. In the message, each of you will find a first riddle to solve, which will eventually lead you to your new friend. Then, together you'll attempt to solve more riddles, which, if done correctly, will lead you straight to Adrien.”
Fuck a new friend.
“Right here, in this super secret location, where I'll be waiting for the lucky winners. Ready?” Adrien asks smiling softly.
All together the three of them counted down, “Three, two, one, GO!”
Adrien pushes the button, my phone pops up with a message.
‘With one turn of a handle, I can raise the level?’
“The fuck?” Jumping off the couch I practically zoomed out the house.
So maybe a sewer? Water? The-
The Canal Saint-Martin!
My eyes widened looking up at the canal.
I must be smarter than I think, since my feet practically carried me here.
Turning that handle over on the side the water level will rise. Helps with… uh… water?
I don't know dude. All I do know is that Kagami is standing around waiting.
Obviously, I seemed to take Marinette’s old place for this one.
“Kagami!” I attempted rushing over her only to smack my foot directly against a wall. Grunting in pain I froze there for a second, trying to not reveal any emotions.

“Are you okay?” She asks walking over to me.
“Of course. Just a little boo-boo. Nothing too bad.”
She frowns looking over my form, “you know, I won't be able to understand you if you aren't speaking French.”

Smiling, I tilted my head, “Hi.”
Both our phones ring at the same time.
“Congratulations! You've just located your game partner. And who knows? Maybe even a new friend for life. You've just received the second riddle!”
