Eugene stood in front of the mirror, carefully smoothing down her hair and making sure everything was in place. She adjusted her outfit, glancing around her room with a mix of excitement and nerves. With a quiet sigh, she tiptoed to the door, closing it softly behind her. Her movements were deliberate, almost as if she didn’t want anyone to notice her leaving.

As she descended the stairs, Jake, who was sitting in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, noticed her. He was just about to greet her when he caught sight of her attire, which was far more put-together than usual. He hesitated, lowering his cup as a frown crossed his face. *Is she going somewhere?* he wondered, watching her quietly from a distance, trying to piece together what she was up to.

Jake instinctively ducked out of sight, pressing himself against the wall to avoid being seen. He watched as Eugene, oblivious to his presence, made her way to the car waiting outside. She slid into the backseat, and within moments, the car pulled away from the house.

Determined to find out what she was up to, Jake's eyes quickly scanned the driveway, landing on his motorcycle. Without a second thought, he grabbed his helmet and rushed over to the bike. As the engine roared to life, he tightened his grip on the handlebars, his resolve firm. He wasn't about to let Eugene slip away without knowing where she was going. With a determined look, he sped off, keeping a safe distance behind her car as he followed her into the night.

Jake watched in disbelief as the car pulled up in front of a modest house. He stopped at a safe distance, narrowing his eyes to make out the details in the dim light. Just as he was about to dismiss his suspicions, a familiar figure emerged from the house, walking quietly towards Eugene's car. His breath caught in his throat as he realized who it was.

"Yoon Jiwon?" he muttered to himself, his heart pounding in his chest. He hadn't expected to see her there, not at this hour and certainly not with Eugene.

Without wasting another second, Jake fumbled for his phone, his fingers moving swiftly across the screen. He quickly dialed Jay's number, anxiety creeping into his voice as the phone rang.

"Jay? Jay, wake up," Jake urged, keeping his eyes on the car ahead as it remained parked. "Eugene is up to something, and Jiwon is with her."

Jay groggily rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as he sat up in bed. "What... what? How do I come...? Turn on your location..."

Jake quickly turned on his location, sharing it with Jay. "Hurry up, man. I have a feeling something's not right," Jake added, his voice laced with concern as he watched the scene unfold before him.

Eugene glanced at Jiwon, who was sitting beside her in the car with a worried expression. The city lights cast a dim glow through the windows, highlighting Jiwon’s unease.

“Are you sure we won’t be in trouble?” Jiwon’s voice trembled slightly, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her jacket.

Eugene gave her a reassuring smile, her eyes sparkling with confidence. “Don’t worry! You’ll be back home before sunrise. Trust me, it’s not my first time here. I’ve seen street racing a lot—Jay brought me here once, and now I come often. It’s going to be fun.”

Jiwon took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She looked out the window, watching the cityscape blur past as Eugene’s words tried to ease her worries. Despite Eugene’s assurance, her heart raced with a mix of excitement and anxiety, unsure of what to expect at the street races.
