Jiwon quickly stepped back, creating a bit of distance between them, and Jake did the same, giving her space. "Oh... you're here," she mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. She could hardly believe that the person she'd bumped into was him.

"Hey," Jake replied, nodding at her. His eyes darted down to their bags on the ground, and then to the diary lying open between them.

Without another word, they both knelt down, gathering their belongings. Jiwon tried to focus on her things, but her eyes kept drifting to the diary. It was like seeing an old friend, something so familiar that it immediately tugged at her heart. She reached out, her hand trembling slightly as she picked it up, dusting off the sand that had settled on the cover.

As she held the diary, her eyebrows furrowed in recognition. This was her diary, the one she'd been searching for, the one she'd thought was lost forever. For a moment, she was too stunned to speak. All the emotions she had felt over the past week came rushing back—relief, confusion, and a touch of disbelief.
