IN THE CAFE

Tiifu's POV
Zuri and I enter the newly opened cafe where we're going to hang out. The smell of coffee and snacks fill the air as we take our seats.

Zuri: I can't believe this Saturday, Kiara is taking us to ride horses. I am so excited.

Tiifu: Me too. It's a good thing we learned how to ride horses back in middle school. I hope I still remember.

Zuri: Yeah, I was hesitant back then but Kiara convinced me. Glad I took that lesson.

Tiffu: Me too.

After some time we order. One cappuccino for Zuri and a latte for me as well as a few tarts and other pastries.
Just then I spot someone familiar. It's Rani and some other guy that I've seen before sitting not far from our table. I think that's her brother.

Zuri: What's up? What are you looking at?

Zuri follows my gaze and also sees Rani and her brother and she frown. I can see why. Rani is very close to Kion, much to Zuri's annoyance. I gotten over him, though it took a long time to do so.
Zuri is about to get up. I don't like where this is going.

Tiifu: Zuri, please don't do something embarrassing. Hate her in private if you still want to but please don't do anything to embarrass yourself.

Zuri sits down. Our order arrives. As I sip my latte, I can't help but notice how pretty Rani is. Zuri and I are pretty all right but I just noticed Rani is prettier. Her chocolate brown hair is in a neat bun. She is in a brown sweater and ripped cream jeans. She is also wearing hooped earrings and yellow sneakers. I gotta admit, I'm kinda jealous.
Just then, her brother notices me staring at them, he smiles at me and I smile back awkwardly. I drop my gaze and turn my attention to Zuri who is wasting away on really cute dresses she wants to buy. I take a look at them.

Rani's POV

Baliyo: You know Rani, that girl was staring at you

I turn and see Tiifu and Zuri looking at some photos of something. I am not very comfortable now. I hope we do not talk and it becomes awkward. I get a text. I check and it's from Uncle Surak.

Surak:*Texts*Hey Rani, where are you? Makucha will be returning tomorrow. You'll be much safer once he does.

Baliyo sees the text. Here we go again.

Baliyo: It's criminal how Uncle trusts that guy so much.

Rani: You should trust some people.

Baliyo: Not after what's happened. Not after someone mum and dad trusted betrayed them, and now he's after us. If he finds us, we're dead meat.

Rani: Baliyo, please I'm trying to remain positive here.

Baliyo: Sorry sis.

I text Uncle back.

Rani:*Texts* We're at a cafe, we'll be back around noon.

No one's POV
Sometime pass and Tiifu and Zuri decide to leave. They pay for their coffee and leave. However, Tiifu leaves her purse. Baliyo sees this and hurries to return it to her. The two girls are walking when they are stopped by Baliyo who returns Tiifu's purse.

Tiifu: Thanks

Baliyo: Don't worry about it. Next time though, make sure you'll keep it with you.

Tiifu: Sure. I'm Tiifu and you are?

Baliyo: Baliyo.

Tiifu: It's nice meeting you Baliyo. We may meet with each other sometime

Baliyo: Nice meeting you too.

Tiifu leaves with an annoyed Zuri and Baliyo returns to the cafe, hoping that they would meet each other soon.
