Kion's POV
I enter the school building, more confused than ever. The keeper of Rardox, what's that? That dream was weird and why did that Askari guy mention Principal Rafiki's name.
???: Hey there Prince Kion
I look upnand see...
Kion: What do you want, Janja?
Janja: Just letting you know that you and your family is doomed because Scar has escaped from prison.
Kion: And your mum, Shenzi, and her goons have also escaped. Yay. My mum was never in prison anyway so she doesn't need to escape from prison, unlike yours.
Cheezi: He got you good Janja
Janja: Shut up fur brain.
Kion: Whatever, I've got bigger things to worry about than a bully like you.
I walk out on them and also meet Jasiri on the way to class.
Jasiri: Hey, Kion
Kion: Hey Jasiri
Jasiri: I heard you talking to Janja.
Kion: Yeah
Jasiri: I also heard the breaking news about Scar
Kion: Yeah
Jasiri: You've got to be careful
Kion: Thanks for the advice, I'll catch you later
Jasiri: Bye
I go to Maths class and sit next to Rani.
Rani: Hey Kion
Kion: Hey, Rani.
Rani: You know I watched the news yesterday and...
Kion: One of our banks was robbed and set on fire, and so was one of the shelter we kept our high tech weapons, Yeah, I know.
Rani: I do think the culprit used the power of the Moniam rock.
Kion: Maybe.
Rani: Are you alright?
Kion: Yeah, I just had a weird dream.
Rani: Me too
Kion: What was it about?
Rani: I don't want to talk about it
Kion: Me neither.
Bunga arrives, texting someone on his phone. He sits behind us.
Kion: Hey Bunga
Bunga looks up.
Bunga: Oh hey, Ki. Hi Rani
Rani: Bunga, who are you texting?
Bunga: My rival. She wants to prove she's better than me, she's not, even though she won all our competitions.
Rani: If she won all your competitions, doesn't that make her better than you?
Kion: And it's a girl?
Bunga: Yeah, I met her at the skatepark. Her name's Binga.
Rani leans in to me and whispers in my ear.
Rani:*whispers * I think Bunga found his match.
Kion:*whispers * Maybe
Rani: You're so full of maybes today.
Kion: What do you want me to say?
Mr. Zazu enters the classroom and interrupts us. I think I keep liking Rani every moment.
Time skip
It's in the evening and I am taking a walk. I can't stop thinking about the dream.
???: Hey Kion
I turn and see Rani.
Kion: Rani, what are you doing here?
Rani: I decide to take a walk. Hope you don't mind.
Kion: Not at all.
Rani holds my hand and I can feel myself blushing. We continue to walk through the streets, talking and laughing at each other's jokes when.... I see something like smoke coming from an alley.
Kion: Rani, do you see the smoke?
Rani: Yeah.
Kion: Let's go check it out
Rani: Are you sure?
Kion: Come on
Rani: Fine, Let's go.
No one's POV
Kion and Rani go through the alley, trying to figure out where the smoke is coming from. Suddenly, Rani is pinned to a wall with a type of robe-like device. Kion tries to get Rani out of it but it is too strong.
???: Well, well, well, what a pleasant surprise. I was planning on catching a fly and look I catch a princess.
Emerging from the shadows, is a black-haired man, with strands of orange and yellow in his hair. He is were a black suit and his left eye is marked by a scar. Kion takes a while to recognise the person but he did.
Kion: Scar?
Scar: That's right and catching you and your girlfriend was easier than I thought.
Kion: Okay, first thing, Rani is not my girlfriend, secondly, why do you want to catch us?
Scar: Kion, you're so naive. You and Rani are the most important people in the world.
Rani: Oh come on, you're working for Thayer too,
Kion: Who's Thayer? What is going to?
Scar ignites a flame on his fingers.
Scar: This is the power of the Moniam rock. But it's nothing compared to what power you and the princess have.
Kion is surprised. Rani was a princess? And what kind of power did he have?
Scar: Join me, and I will help you master your power.
Kion: I have no idea of what you're talking about, but I will never join you.
Scar smirk.
Scar: You will whether you like it or not.
Scar throws a fireball at Kion, but luckily, he manages to dodge. Scar continues hurling fireballs at Kion, who dodges. Rani watches them as she is still pinned on the wall. Kion slips and falls down.
Scar: Say goodbye, Prince
Scar is about to hurl a fireball at Kion but he gets hit by a flying stick.
???: Leave de boy alone.
A figure appeared and Kion is shocked to see...
Kion: Principal Rafiki ?
Rafiki: Leave it to me, Prince.
Rafiki's staff returns to him like a boomerang and he and Scar start fighting. Kion is so surprised to see the principal fighting against his grand-uncle. Unexpectedly, Rafiki is able to wear Scar out.
Scar: You haven't seem the last of me.
Scar vanished in a cloud of smoke. Rafiki helps remove the device and Rani is free again.
Rafiki: You two need to learn a lot.
