Siya's POV

The weeks had flown by since our gallery visit, and each moment with Abhimanyu had been both reassuring and exciting. Our conversations had become more profound, and the ease between us was undeniable. The idea of an arranged marriage was no longer just a distant concept but a potential reality that was beginning to take shape.

One chilly Saturday morning, I was sipping my coffee at the kitchen table with Aditi and my parents came and informed us that they wanted to meet to discuss the next steps in the engagement process. My heart raced at the thought of formalizing our relationship.

"Aditi, it looks like things are moving forward," I said. "Our families want to meet and discuss the date and preparations for the wedding."

Aditi looked excited but offered me a sympathetic smile. "This is big, Siya. It's natural to feel a bit overwhelmed. But remember, this is a step towards something wonderful."

"I know," I replied, trying to calm my nerves. "I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly. Abhimanyu and I have come a long way, but I want our families to be on the same page."

Later that afternoon, I met Abhimanyu at our favorite café. As I walked in, I saw him sitting by the window, looking deep in thought. I slid into the seat across from him, trying to gauge his mood.

"Hey, Abhimanyu," I said, smiling. "I got to know from my parents that they want to meet your parents and finalize the details."

He looked up, his expression serious but thoughtful. "Yes, I got to know it too. It seems like things are getting real now."

"I know," I said, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. "How are you feeling about all this?"

Abhimanyu took a deep breath. "It's a lot to process. I've been thinking about how we've grown together, and I feel more confident about this than I did before. But I also want to make sure we're prepared for the next steps."

I nodded in agreement. "Me too. I think it's important that we continue to communicate openly and make sure we're both comfortable with how things are progressing."

Abhimanyu reached across the table and took my hand in his. "I'm glad we're in this together. Let's make the most of the meeting and ensure everything is set up for a smooth transition."

The meeting was scheduled for the following Sunday, and as the day approached, I found myself reflecting on how far we had come. Despite my tendency to overthink, I felt a sense of calm knowing that Abhimanyu and I were on this journey together.

On the day of the meeting, our families gathered at a beautiful banquet hall that had been decorated for the occasion. The room was filled with an air of anticipation and excitement. Abhimanyu and I arrived together, and as we entered, I noticed our parents eagerly awaiting us.

"Good to see you both," said my father, Ranjit Singh Suryavanshi, with a warm smile. "Please, come in."

"Thank you, Papa," I replied, feeling a wave of nerves mixed with anticipation.

Abhimanyu greeted my family politely, and we settled into a round table where everyone began discussing the details of the upcoming engagement and wedding.

"My dear," said Abhimanyu's mother, Pallavi Abhijeet Singh Rajawat, as she looked at me with a kind expression. "We've been very pleased with how things have been progressing. It's clear that you and Abhimanyu have a strong connection."

"Thank you, Mrs. Rajawat," I said, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks. "I've enjoyed getting to know Abhimanyu more, and I'm excited about our future."

Abhimanyu's father, Abhijeet Singh Rajawat, nodded in agreement. "We're also very happy with how things are going. Both families must be involved and supportive."

"Yes," added my mother, Jasleen Ranjit Singh Suryavanshi. "We're excited to start planning for the festivities. It's such a joyous occasion."

As the meeting continued, we discussed various aspects of the wedding, from the date to the arrangements and ceremonies. There was a lot to consider, but the overall atmosphere was positive and collaborative.

"How about we set the date for the engagement ceremony three months from now?" suggested Abhimanyu's father. "That should give us enough time to prepare everything."

"That sounds good," my father agreed. "And we can start planning the wedding ceremony shortly after."

Abhimanyu and I exchanged a glance, and I could see the same mix of emotions reflected in his eyes. We both knew that this was a significant step forward, but we were also excited about the future.

Once the formal discussions were over, the conversation shifted to lighter topics. We talked about potential venues, guest lists, and even some fun ideas for the pre-wedding celebrations.

"So, what do you think about a themed pre-wedding party?" Aditi asked, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Something fun and interactive, like a masquerade ball or a retro theme."

Ranveer chuckled. "A masquerade ball sounds intriguing. It could be a lot of fun."

"I agree," I said, feeling a sense of excitement about the idea. "It could be a great way to bring everyone together and have a memorable time."

As the evening drew to a close, our families seemed more connected than ever. The discussions had been productive, and everyone seemed enthusiastic about the upcoming events.

When Abhimanyu and I left the banquet hall, we took a moment to reflect on the day.

"I think the meeting went well," Abhimanyu said, his voice filled with a mix of relief and satisfaction. "Our families are invested in making this work."

"I agree," I replied, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "It's reassuring to know that we have their support."

Abhimanyu took my hand in his. "Thank you for being so positive and supportive through all of this. I know it's not always easy, but it means a lot to me."

I smiled, feeling a warmth spread through me. "And thank you for being open and understanding. I'm looking forward to what's ahead."

Aswe drove home, I felt a renewed sense of hope and excitement. The road aheadwas still full of planning and preparations, but with Abhimanyu by my side andour families' support, I knew we were heading in the right direction.
