When I place out all the things in life,
the only thing I want,
feels like a knife,
going straight through my chest.
Though it may hurt the best,
sting greater than the rest,
it's the only thing I want.
To slow dance through the night,
comfort you through all your fright,
be all the poems I ever write,
the only thing that feels right,
is when I'm with you.
The laughs and looks exchanged,
the friendship changed,
but then rearranged back to mutuals.
The love my eyes should show,
when I look out for your glow,
in the night.
When I see you each day,
It's the way,
my heart races,
and my speaking paces,
But out of all the faces, my eyes have seen
Your beauty is the prettiest thing to have ever been.
To me,
You are the Mona Lisa with no one in the way,
Monet's garden during a warm spring day,
The colosseum in the late months of may,
The Alaskan forests as the trees sway,
The only person I would pay,
to be allowed to gaze at their beauty all day.
Your laugh can make even the depressed smile,
and your smile makes life worth the while,
Your eyes light up the darkest nights,
and your personality beams such a bright light,
in everyones lives.
And even though I know,
you don't feel the same way.
If you may,
ensure you find,
A boyfriend who is too kind,
with a smart enough mind,
to always choose you.
always soothe you,
and to never lose you.
Because your happiness is worth more than diamonds.
And even though I am not the one for you,
I hope he likes you like I do,
But he wouldn't ever be able to love you,
the way I knew.
Because I love you more than life,
through and through.
