The next day after the fight, Kenji and Kai find themselves in detention together. The classroom is quiet except for the occasional shuffle of papers and the ticking of the clock. Kenji, sitting at the back, has a bruised face but tries to act nonchalant. Kai, on the other side of the room, looks visibly annoyed but is trying to keep his cool. The teacher, clearly unimpressed, is grading papers at her desk, occasionally glancing at them with disapproval. The tension in the room is palpable as Kenji and Kai avoid eye contact, each lost in their thoughts, their earlier clash still hanging heavily between them.
The following day, Kenji and Kai are back in detention, but this time it’s a solitary task: cleaning the classroom. The room is empty, and they each have a bucket of soapy water and cleaning supplies. Kenji, still sporting some bruises, grudgingly scrubs the chalkboard and wipes down the desks, clearly annoyed. Meanwhile, Kai sweeps the floor and dusts the shelves, his movements sharp and deliberate. The silence between them is heavy, broken only by the sound of cleaning tools and the occasional sigh.
As they clean the classroom, the silence stretches, but this time it's less charged. Kenji accidentally knocks over a can of cleaning solution, spilling it across the floor. Kai, noticing Kenji’s frustration, sighs and approaches to help.
"You always manage to mess things up, don’t you?" Kai says, trying to sound annoyed but with a hint of concern.
Kenji grumbles, "Yeah, well, I guess I’m not perfect."
Kai helps him clean up the mess, and as they work side by side.
The next, and 4rth day of school Ren catches up to Kenji as usual.
"Hey" he grits
"..hi" Kenji manages.
"Well aren't you very energetic today" points out Ren.
"I'm just tired after practice yesterday I had to clean the school, it's part of my detention"
"Really? I thought the detention was an one Time thing, your dad repaired all the damages,no?" Ren asked.
"Well, it's not and I have today as well..not to mention that I'm stack alone with the blood freak for hours and I have to NOT hit him which is nearly impossible"
"That's rough buddy...hey! Your fight was sick though!"
"I was fighting and you were taking a video?" Kenji asked
"Yep, pretty sure I'm not the only one"
"Are you for real?.."
"Well...you wanted me to interfere?"
"No"
"See? And you look fuckin badass in the vid while he looks like a loser ,wanna see?"
"100%" Kenji replied.
Later on,they had a psychical class ,dressed in their hero costumes class 1A entered the training grounds and was in teams of 2.
The exam was 2 teams at a time going against each other.
Kenji was teamed up with a guy called shiro.
And he was against not other than kai aka the blood freak.
"Fuckin awesome" he said to himself.
"Good luck Kenji!"
"You too!" Kenji and Ren said to each other as they were in different groups.
Kenji and shiro faced off against Kai and Rio in the dimly lit training room. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the two pairs prepared for combat.
Kai, with his fiery red hair and intense blue eyes, manipulated his blood to form sharp blades and shields. His gaze was locked on Kenji, who was generating explosive bursts from his hands and feet, ready to unleash them.
Rio, standing beside Kai, was a lightning user. He crackled with electric energy and aimed a bolt at shiro, who nimbly dodged with enhanced agility.
Kenji, frustrated by Kai’s ability to deflect his explosions, shouted, "Is that all you've got?"
Kai smirked, his blood whip slicing through the air. "I'm just getting started."
As the fight escalated, Kenji’s explosions created shockwaves that rocked the room. Kai skillfully used his blood abilities to counter each blast. Rio and shiro engaged in a high-speed clash, with Rio's lightning crackling against shiro’s swift dodges.
Kenji, aiming to break through Kai’s defenses, threw a powerful explosion. Kai deflected it with a blood shield while Rio unleashed a bolt of electricity aimed directly at Kenji.
Kenji, determined, gritted his teeth. "You’re going down, Kai!"
The battle continued with increasing intensity, highlighting both their strengths and the fierce rivalry between Kenji and Kai.
In the end Kenji was truthful,he won.
