The morning after their intimate night together, Pon and Sailub awoke to the gentle sound of birds chirping outside the cabin window. The sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow over the room. Pon stirred first, stretching as he glanced over at Sailub, who was still sleeping peacefully beside him. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he watched the alpha, his strong features softened by sleep.

For a moment, Pon simply lay there, savoring the quiet, the rare peace of having nothing to do but be in the moment with the man he loved. It was a stark contrast to their usual hectic lives, filled with the constant demands of work, responsibilities, and, of course, raising Aon.

But as much as Pon cherished this tranquility, his thoughts inevitably drifted to his son. He wondered if Aon had slept well, if Pooh was managing okay. The pang of longing in his chest was undeniable, a testament to the deep bond he shared with his child.

As if sensing Pon’s thoughts, Sailub began to stir. He blinked his eyes open, squinting against the morning light, and when his gaze met Pon’s, a slow, sleepy smile spread across his face.

“Good morning,” Sailub murmured, his voice thick with sleep.

“Good morning,” Pon replied, his fingers lightly tracing the lines of Sailub’s jaw.

They lay there for a while, simply enjoying each other’s presence, until Sailub finally spoke again, a hint of hesitation in his voice. “Have you heard anything from Pooh yet?”

Pon shook his head. “Not yet, but I’m sure everything’s fine.”

Sailub’s brow furrowed slightly, his concern evident. “Maybe we should check in? Just to make sure.”

Pon chuckled softly. “You’re more anxious than I am, Sailub. I thought this vacation was supposed to help us relax.”

Sailub sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I know, but I can’t help it. Aon’s our world, and… I just want to make sure he’s okay.”

Pon’s heart warmed at Sailub’s words, the depth of his love and concern for Aon shining through. “Alright,” Pon agreed, reaching for his phone on the nightstand. “Let’s see how our little one is doing.”

He quickly typed out a message to Pooh, asking for an update. It didn’t take long for a reply to come through, accompanied by a photo of Aon happily playing with his toys, a wide smile on his chubby face.

Pon showed the message to Sailub, who let out a sigh of relief, his tension visibly easing. “He looks happy,” Sailub said, his voice filled with affection.

“Of course he is,” Pon replied, smiling. “He’s with his favorite uncle.”

Sailub chuckled, pulling Pon closer. “I guess you’re right. Still… I can’t help but miss him.”

“I miss him too,” Pon admitted, resting his head on Sailub’s chest. “But it’s good for us to have this time together. Pooh’s got everything under control.”

“I know, I know,” Sailub said, his fingers gently combing through Pon’s hair. “But I can’t help worrying. I mean, what if he needs us? What if something happens?”

Pon looked up at Sailub, his eyes soft with understanding. “You’re a wonderful father, Sailub. But we can’t be with Aon every second of the day. Pooh will call us if anything happens. For now, let’s just enjoy this time together, okay?”

Sailub sighed again, but there was a small smile on his lips as he nodded. “You’re right. I’ll try to relax.”

They spent the morning exploring more of the cabin grounds, taking in the fresh air and the beauty of the natural surroundings. But despite the peaceful environment, Sailub couldn’t help but pull out his phone every now and then to check for updates from Pooh. Each time, Pon would tease him gently, reminding him to focus on the present moment.

By midday, they decided to take a trip into the nearby town, exploring the local shops and enjoying a quiet lunch at a quaint little café. Sailub, however, couldn’t help but check his phone repeatedly, despite Pon’s best efforts to keep him distracted.

As they sat across from each other at the café, Pon finally reached across the table, taking Sailub’s hand in his. “He’s okay, Sailub. Let’s try to enjoy this, just the two of us. We’ve been waiting for this for so long.”

Sailub squeezed Pon’s hand, his eyes softening as he looked at him. “I’m sorry, Pon. I just… I’ve never felt this way before. I didn’t realize how much being a father would change me. I love you and Aon so much, it’s hard to let go, even just for a little while.”

Pon’s heart swelled with emotion, his love for Sailub deepening with each word. “I know, Sailub. And I love you for it. But we need this time for ourselves too. Aon is happy and safe with Pooh. Let’s focus on us for now.”

Sailub nodded, taking a deep breath as he pocketed his phone, determined to set aside his worries. “You’re right. I’ll try harder.”

With that, they spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the town, hand in hand, enjoying the simplicity of being together without the constant demands of parenthood. They wandered through the local market, picking out small trinkets and treats to bring back for Aon, their conversations light and easy.

As evening approached, they returned to the cabin, their arms full of small gifts for Aon. They spent the night by the fire again, this time with Sailub making a conscious effort to keep his phone tucked away, focusing instead on Pon and the time they were sharing.

As they curled up together in front of the fire, Sailub pulled Pon close, his arms wrapped tightly around him. “Thank you, Pon,” Sailub murmured, his lips brushing against Pon’s temple.

“For what?” Pon asked, looking up at him.

“For reminding me that it’s okay to take a break. For being my rock. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Pon smiled, resting his head against Sailub’s chest. “We’re in this together, Sailub. Always.”

They fell asleep in each other’s arms, the warmth of the fire and their love surrounding them like a protective cocoon. The world outside the cabin faded away, leaving only the two of them, content in their shared moment of peace.
