The sterile whiteness of the hospital room was overwhelming, the scent of antiseptic clinging to the air. Pon's eyelids fluttered as he slowly regained consciousness, the world around him coming into focus in fragments. He felt disoriented, his body heavy and sore. His mind raced to make sense of where he was and what had happened. Then, a sudden jolt of fear coursed through him as the events leading up to this moment came rushing back—the confrontation with Bank, the struggle, the sight of Aon being pulled away.

Aon.

Panic surged through Pon's veins as he tried to sit up, his heart pounding in his chest. "Aon... where's Aon?" he gasped, his voice trembling with terror. The overwhelming fear that his precious pup was in danger consumed him, making it difficult to breathe.

Before he could fully process his surroundings, strong, familiar arms wrapped around him, gently pulling him back down onto the bed. Pon blinked, his vision clearing enough to recognize Sailub's concerned face hovering above him. His alpha's presence, so strong and comforting, brought an immediate wave of relief, but it wasn't enough to quell the fear gnawing at his heart.

"Sailub..." Pon's voice cracked as he clung to his alpha, tears welling up in his eyes. "Aon... I... I thought Bank... He—"

Sailub hushed him softly, pulling him closer, one hand stroking Pon's hair in a soothing manner. "Shh, Pon, it's okay," Sailub murmured, his voice firm yet gentle. "Aon is safe. He's with Pooh right now, playing in another room. Bank didn't get to him, I promise."

The words were like a balm to Pon's shattered nerves, but the emotional dam had already burst. The omega began to cry, his tears streaming down his face as he buried his head against Sailub's chest. The fear, the terror of losing his pup, the pain of being hurt—it all came crashing down on him, and he couldn't hold back the sobs that wracked his body.

Sailub's heart broke at the sight of Pon's tears. He hated seeing his mate like this, so vulnerable, so scared. All he wanted was to protect Pon, to shield him from all the pain and fear, but in this moment, all he could do was hold him close and let him cry.

"It's okay, Pon. You're safe, Aon is safe. I'm here," Sailub whispered, his voice filled with emotion. He continued to stroke Pon's hair, pressing soft kisses to the top of his head as he let Pon release all the fear and pain he'd been holding inside.

Pon clung to Sailub like a lifeline, his tears soaking into Sailub's shirt. The alpha's presence was the only thing grounding him, the only thing keeping him from falling apart completely. He sobbed uncontrollably, his fear for Aon's safety and the trauma of the attack pouring out in waves. He didn't care how he looked, how weak he felt—he just needed to be close to Sailub, to feel safe.

Minutes passed, the sound of Pon's sobs filling the room. Sailub never let go, his arms a protective cocoon around Pon, his whispered reassurances the only thing cutting through the storm of emotions.

Eventually, Pon's sobs began to subside, his body trembling from the exertion. He took deep, shaky breaths, trying to calm himself as he clung to Sailub's steady presence. The fear still lingered, but it was no longer the all-consuming terror it had been moments ago.

Sailub continued to hold Pon, not saying a word until he felt Pon's breathing even out. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, but there was an edge of concern to it. "I'm so sorry you had to go through this, Pon," he murmured, kissing Pon's forehead gently. "But I need you to focus on your health right now, okay? You and Aon are the most important things in the world to me. I'll do whatever it takes to keep both of you safe."

Pon nodded weakly, his tears subsiding, though the fear still clung to him. "I was so scared, Sailub," he whispered, his voice hoarse from crying. "I thought... I thought I lost him."

Sailub's arms tightened around Pon, his own emotions raw from the day's events. "I know, love. I know. But I swear to you, I'll never let anything happen to either of you. Aon is safe, and you're safe now, too."

Pon sniffled, rubbing his face against Sailub's chest as he tried to calm down. He believed Sailub—he had to. But the lingering memory of Bank's cruelty and the near loss of his pup was hard to shake.

As if sensing Pon's distress, Sailub gently pulled back just enough to look into Pon's eyes. "Do you want to see Aon? Pooh's been keeping him entertained, but I'm sure he's missing you."

The mention of Aon brought a small, shaky smile to Pon's lips. He nodded, needing to see his son, to reassure himself that Aon was truly safe and unharmed.

Sailub smiled back at Pon, though the concern in his eyes didn't waver. He pressed one last kiss to Pon's forehead before standing up. "I'll go get him," he said softly, his hand lingering on Pon's shoulder for a moment before he turned and left the room.

Pon watched Sailub go, his heart still heavy with the remnants of fear, but now there was a glimmer of hope, of comfort. He wiped at his tear-streaked face, trying to pull himself together as he waited for Sailub to return with Aon. The thought of holding his son again, of feeling his little arms around him, was the only thing keeping him steady.

It wasn't long before the door opened again, and Sailub stepped back in, carrying Aon in his arms. The sight of his pup brought fresh tears to Pon's eyes, but this time they were tears of relief.

Aon's face lit up when he saw Pon, his little arms reaching out eagerly. "Papa!" he exclaimed, wriggling in Sailub's arms.

Sailub chuckled softly and brought Aon over to the bed, gently placing the pup in Pon's waiting arms. Pon pulled Aon close, hugging him tightly, his heart swelling with love and relief. Aon nestled against his chest, his small hands clutching at Pon's shirt, his head resting on Pon's shoulder.

"Papa missed you so much, Aon," Pon whispered, pressing kisses to Aon's soft hair. The feel of his pup in his arms, safe and sound, was the balm his heart needed. All the fear, all the pain, seemed to fade away as he held Aon close.

Aon giggled softly, looking up at Pon with wide, innocent eyes. "Love you, Papa," he murmured, his voice sleepy but filled with love.

Pon's heart melted at his pup's words, and he hugged Aon even tighter, tears of happiness now flowing freely down his cheeks. "I love you too, Aon. So much," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.

Sailub watched the tender moment between his mate and son, his heart aching with love for both of them. Seeing Pon and Aon together, safe and happy, was everything he'd ever wanted. But beneath the surface of that love, there was a simmering anger, a rage directed at Bank for the pain he had caused. Sailub knew he couldn't rest until he had made sure Bank could never hurt his family again.

For now, though, he focused on the present, on the sight of Pon and Aon together. He climbed back onto the bed beside them, wrapping his arms around both of them, creating a protective cocoon for his little family. Aon snuggled into Sailub's embrace, his eyes fluttering closed as sleep began to overtake him.

Pon looked up at Sailub, his eyes still red from crying but filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Sailub," he whispered. "For everything."

Sailub shook his head, his expression soft as he leaned down to kiss Pon's forehead. "There's nothing to thank me for, love. I'll always protect you and Aon. Always."

They stayed like that for a while, the three of them curled up together on the hospital bed, a small island of peace amidst the chaos that had threatened to tear them apart. Sailub could feel the weight of the day's events pressing down on him, but in this moment, with his omega and pup safe in his arms, he knew he had the strength to face whatever came next.

Because no matter what, he would do whatever it took to keep his family safe. And with Pon and Aon by his side, he knew they could overcome anything.
