The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the garage as the team wrapped up their work for the day. There was a palpable sense of relief in the air, a collective exhale after the storm that had been brewing with Bank had finally passed. Sailub and his father had made sure that Bank was no longer a threat, and for the first time in weeks, the pack felt like they could truly relax.

Pon stood beside Sailub, watching as Aon toddled around the garage with a toy car in his hands. The little boy's laughter echoed off the walls, filling the space with a joyful energy that was contagious. Pon's heart swelled with happiness as he watched his son play, free from the shadows that had loomed over them for so long.

Sailub, standing beside Pon, wrapped an arm around his mate's waist and pulled him close. "He's really enjoying himself, isn't he?" Sailub said, his voice warm and content.

Pon smiled, leaning into Sailub's embrace. "He is. I think he knows things are better now. It's like he can sense it."

The two watched as Aon made his way over to Pavel and Nut, who were sitting on a bench, taking a break from their work. Nut, usually the more reserved of the two, surprised everyone by lifting Aon into his lap and letting the boy play with his sunglasses. Pavel chuckled at the sight, shaking his head in amusement.

"Who knew Nut had a soft spot for kids?" Sailub commented, a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Pon giggled softly. "I think Aon brings out the best in everyone. Even the grumpy ones."

The rest of the team was scattered around the garage, each in their own little world but all sharing in the collective peace that had settled over them. Michael and Topten were in the corner, playfully arguing over some new parts they were planning to install in one of the cars. Ping, ever the businessman, was on the phone, but even he seemed more relaxed than usual, a small smile on his face as he spoke.

For the first time in what felt like ages, there was no tension, no worry hanging over them. The pack had come through the storm stronger, more united than ever. And now, they were finally able to enjoy the calm that followed.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the floor, Sailub turned to Pon. "How about we take Aon out for a little treat? Maybe some ice cream at the park?"

Pon's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds perfect. Aon would love that."

Sailub nodded, then raised his voice to get the attention of the others. "Hey, everyone! We're heading to the park for some ice cream. Anyone want to join?"

There was a chorus of agreement from around the garage as the team quickly wrapped up what they were doing. It didn't take long before they were all heading out together, Aon perched happily on Sailub's shoulders, chattering excitedly about the ice cream he was about to have.

The park was just a short walk away, and by the time they arrived, the sky had turned a beautiful shade of orange and pink. The air was cool, a refreshing change from the heat of the day, and the park was filled with the sounds of children playing and people enjoying the evening.

Sailub and Pon found a bench near the ice cream stand, watching as the rest of the team dispersed to find their own spots. Aon was still on Sailub's shoulders, eagerly pointing at the different flavors of ice cream displayed in the stand.

"Which one do you want, buddy?" Sailub asked, lifting Aon down so he could get a better look.

Aon pointed to the bright green scoop. "That one! The green one!"

Pon chuckled. "Mint chocolate chip, just like his papa."

Sailub grinned. "Good choice, Aon."

After getting their ice cream, the three of them found a spot under a large tree, the perfect place to enjoy their treat. Aon sat between his parents, happily devouring his ice cream, a smear of green around his mouth. Pon couldn't help but laugh at the sight, reaching over to wipe it away with a napkin.

As they sat there, enjoying the simple pleasure of ice cream on a warm evening, Pon felt a deep sense of contentment settle over him. The past few weeks had been tough, but they had come out the other side stronger, closer as a family.

Sailub must have sensed Pon's thoughts because he reached over and took Pon's hand in his, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We're going to be okay, Pon. More than okay."

Pon smiled, leaning his head on Sailub's shoulder. "I know. I just feel so... lucky. To have you, to have Aon, to have all of this."

Sailub kissed the top of Pon's head. "We're the lucky ones, Pon. Aon and I are lucky to have you."

They sat there in comfortable silence, watching as the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky turning darker by the minute. The park began to empty out, the sounds of children's laughter fading into the night, but the peace that had settled over them remained.

Eventually, the rest of the team wandered over to join them, each holding their own ice cream cones. They gathered around the tree, sitting in a loose circle, enjoying the moment together. There was no need for words; the bond they shared spoke volumes on its own.

As the night wore on, Aon began to grow sleepy, his eyelids drooping as he nestled into Pon's lap. Sailub watched them, a soft smile on his face. This was everything he had ever wanted—a family, a pack that felt more like home than anything else ever had.

When Aon finally fell asleep, Pon carefully handed him to Sailub, who cradled the boy in his arms with a tenderness that made Pon's heart swell.

"We should head back," Sailub said softly, careful not to wake Aon. "It's been a long day."

Pon nodded, standing up and stretching before they began the short walk back to the garage. The team followed behind, talking quietly amongst themselves, still basking in the warmth of the evening.

When they reached the garage, Sailub carefully put Aon to bed in the small room they had set up for him, making sure the boy was comfortable before joining Pon in the living area.

Pon was already curled up on the couch, looking relaxed and content. Sailub joined him, pulling him close as they settled in together.

"I think today was exactly what we needed," Pon said softly, his voice drowsy.

Sailub nodded, pressing a kiss to Pon's temple. "It was. We'll have more days like this, Pon. I promise."

Pon smiled, closing his eyes as he leaned into Sailub. "I believe you."

As they drifted off to sleep, wrapped up in each other's arms, the garage was filled with a sense of peace and security. The world outside might still hold challenges and threats, but in that moment, nothing else mattered. They were together, they were safe, and they were ready to face whatever came next.

And for now, that was enough.
