As I walked into the arena with Kashton and Chubbs, flanked by my security, the roar of the crowd enveloped us. The energy in the air was electric, a palpable buzz that came from fans recognizing me and buzzing with excitement. I was here not just as a fan, but as a fellow fighter, eager to witness the spectacle of Israel Adesanya's latest UFC bout.
The anticipation was building. We found our seats right in front of the ring, soaking in the atmosphere. The fight was still some time away, but I wanted to get a good spot and fully immerse myself in the pre-fight hype. The crowd was already lively, and I could see the buzz of excitement growing as the minutes ticked by.
I was scanning the arena, a tap on my shoulder caught my attention. I turned around to find Joshua, a well-known professional boxer himself, standing there with a wide grin. He was someone I respected and admired in the boxing world. We exchanged a hearty dap and a quick hug.
"Wassup, Josh? Didn't even see you coming through," I said, my excitement evident.
"Man, just had to come see this fight. Heard it's going to be a banger," Joshua replied, his voice brimming with enthusiasm. "Actually, when's your next fight?" Anthony asked, his interest piqued.
I shrugged nonchalantly. "Until someone stops being scared to step in the ring with me," I replied, laughing as he joined in. "Everyone's been ducking me lately."
Anthony shook his head, leaning back in his seat. "You didn't catch Ryan Garcia calling you out on Twitter?"
I raised an eyebrow, pretending to be surprised. "Nah, I missed it. What's he saying?"
He handed me his phone, and I began scrolling through Ryan's flood of tweets. The boxer was clearly fired up, claiming that every fight was skewed in my favor and launching into a series of dramatic accusations and challenges. The tweets were a mix of bravado and frustration, filled with wild, almost incoherent rants.
@RyanGarcia That guy drake is not like that fr🤣. He's been ducking me ever since I got in the league!
@RyanGarcia Nah but fr tho, it's sad how the league wants him to be the face of boxing when he doesn't even put in the work. All his fights are favored clearly.
@RyanGarcia tell him to hit me tho! Or keep ducking🤦🏻♂️
I couldn't help but laugh as I read through Ryan's outbursts. "Man, this guy's lost it," I said, shaking my head in disbelief. "He's really going off the deep end."
"Yeah," Anthony said, taking his phone back and shaking his head. "That guy's clearly lost it. But honestly, you should take the fight. It's another payday coming your way."
I nodded thoughtfully. "He's gotta prove he actually wants the fight. Have your team get in touch with mine. Don't just yap on Twitter—that's weak as hell.
Anthony agreed with a nod, understanding where I was coming from.
Turning back around in my seat, Kashton leaned in and said, "Yo, I just dropped 5 racks on Israel. He better not let me down."
Kashton's comment reminded me that I needed to make my own bets on Stake. I quickly pulled out my phone, took a screenshot of the bet amount, and posted it to my Instagram story. Since I'm partnered with Stake, I always share these big bets to keep my followers in the loop and show my involvement with the platform.
The arena continued to buzz with anticipation, the lights dimmed and the excitement reached a fever pitch. The crowd's roar grew louder as the fighters prepared to enter the ring. I turned my attention back to the event, feeling the electric atmosphere around me.
