Fight Night

The energy in the arena was loud, the crowd roaring as Aubrey made his way through the tunnel, his theme song booming through the speakers. Flashing lights, cameras, and a sea of fans surrounded him, my focus was on him and the two little ones by his side.

Omari and Ava, each holding one of his hands, walked proudly beside him.

It made my heart swell seeing Omari in this moment, being included in something so big. Aubrey didn't have to do that—he could've just had Ava by his side—but he wanted Omari there too.

He was treating him as if he were his own, and that alone spoke volumes about the kind of man he was.

I felt a small smile tug at my lips, but it faded just as quickly when my eyes landed on Robin. She was right there, keeping pace beside him, leaning in to whisper something in his ear.

My jaw clenched. I bit my bottom lip, crossing my arms as I stared at them.

I already wasn't feeling her presence, and now she was walking out with him... I hated that she was even close enough to be whispering in his ear right now.

He had asked me to walk out with him, and I had said no. I didn't want our relationship to be blasted all over social media. But now, watching this?

I was starting to wonder if I'd made the wrong decision.

They all stopped at the ring. Aubrey stayed focused, bending down to Omari first as they did their special handshake.

Omari grinned the whole time. Once they finished, Aubrey turned to Ava, her eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly followed each movement of their handshake, ending it with a giggle as Aubrey leaned in, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

Kashton stepped in, gently taking both Omari and Ava's hands before leading them away from the ring, heading back toward me. As they got closer, I reached out, smoothing Omari's shirt down before glancing at Ava, who was still bouncing on her toes, too excited to sit still.

They settled into their seats beside me, right next to where Aubrey's mom and dad were already sitting.

"You guys excited?" I asked, a smile forming on my lips as I glanced between them.

Omari nodded eagerly, his eyes still locked on the ring. "Yeah! He's gonna win, right?"

Ava giggled, swinging her legs. "Of course! My daddy is the best!"

Their confidence in him made me chuckle softly. I leaned back in my seat, glancing toward the ring where Aubrey was now fully focused, stretching out his arms and bouncing lightly on his feet.

He stood with his group, all of them hyping him up, patting his back, and giving him words of encouragement. He nodded at everything they were saying, jogging lightly in place to keep his body up.
