I leaned back in my seat, phone in hand, scrolling through headline after headline about who I should fight next. It's wild how everyone has an opinion about my next move.

Chuckling to myself, same old story, right? But right now, it didn't matter. This was my time. My boys and I were on the way to Miami, just to chill for a few days before diving back into the grind.

Chubbs and Ant were doing their own thing, talking low in the seats across from me. They always had something going on, some little plan cooking up.

Meanwhile, I could hear the hum of the engines, steady and soothing as the jet cut through the clouds.

Miami was the spot when we had some free time. Get in, soak up the sun, see what's poppin', and then bounce back to business as usual.

I glanced up and saw Kevin walking back from the bathroom. He sat across from me, wiping his hands on his jeans.

But right now, it was all quiet. Just me, my boys, the sky, and a few days ahead with nothing but relaxation and whatever Miami threw our way.

"So how was that trip, Kev?" Ant asked, smirking at me before turning to Kev. He knew exactly what he was doing.

I couldn't help but laugh to myself, already knowing where this was going.

Kev nodded, trying to play it cool. "It was cool," he said. "Back to work now we go."

"Oh yeah?" Ant grinned. "You check on Onika too?"

Kev sighed, rubbing his hands down his face like the weight of that question hit different. "Yeah, she's not answering me unless it's about our son. I think she's really done with me, yo."

"I wonder why," Chubbs mumbled under his breath, loud enough for everyone to hear. Ant punched him in the shoulder, both of them laughing like kids who knew something they shouldn't.

Kev looked between them, confused for a second, not fully catching on. But they weren't just laughing at his situation—they were laughing because they knew something he didn't. They knew I was lowkey talking to Onika behind the scenes.

I kept my cool, just leaning back in my seat, acting like I wasn't even involved. But that quiet smirk on my face? Yeah, that said it all.

"Might be time to call it quits, fam," I said, casually, while my thumb scrolled through Instagram, landing on Onika's page like I did almost every day.

Kev let out a deep breath, leaning back in his seat, clearly feeling the weight of it all.

I was checking her latest post, lowkey admiring the vibe she was on. That same smirk I had earlier crept back on my face, but I kept it subtle.

Ant and Chubbs exchanged a quick glance, knowing damn well what I was doing. They didn't need to say anything—just the energy in the room said it all. Kev was over there stressing, and here I was, scrolling through her feed, already knowing more than I let on.

It was a wild situation, but that's how it goes sometimes. Life gets messy, and the lines get blurred.

"I don't want to, though," Kev said, his voice low but serious. He rubbed his hands together, like he was trying to work through the situation in his head.

I didn't even look up from my phone, still scrolling through Onika's page, her smile lighting up the screen. "Yeah, I feel you," I muttered, not giving too much away. Truth was, I knew exactly how complicated it could get.

Ant leaned forward, throwing Kev a look. "Sometimes you gotta let go, bro. It ain't always about what you want."

Kev just shook his head, staring at the floor. "But we got history. A son. I ain't trying to just let that go."
