It had been four days since Cadmus had bled out in front of Y/N. She'd grown weary, slowly losing her sanity to the stony walls of her prison. She had no one to talk to, the new guards didn't dare try and befriend her after seeing what happened to the last one. She was left with nothing but her thoughts for days on end, and at some point all she wanted was for it to end. Alas, there wasn't really any way she could end it without doing something crazy like bashing her head on the wall, so she was stuck.
Y/N thought she'd be grateful for any company at this point, but was quickly proven wrong when Leandros decided to pay her a visit. Y/N was curled up on the floor thinking about the quadratic formula when the cell door creaked open and heavy footsteps stomped into the room.
She stood up and found herself face to face with none other than her jailer, Leandros. Y/N was too deluded to make any rational decisions, and she was too exhausted from her new mundane life to care about the consequences. She glared at him with the most hateful expression she could muster in her weak state.
"What do you want." Y/N sneered. Leandros smiled in amusement and gestured for her to sit on the stone slab she used as a bed. She begrudgingly sat down, but mostly because she was tired of standing, not because he wanted her to.
"I've come to terms with the fact that you are unwilling to join me." he started. "But even if you refuse to accept my offer, you can still be of use to me." Y/N's brows furrowed at his words.
"How?" she inquired hesitantly. Leandros grinned coldly.
"Well, it seems that although your little friends fled after our ambush, they are circling back and are most likely planning some sort of attack." Leandros explained.
Y/N rolled her eyes. "So?" Leandros chuckled.
"Well, they must've told you something about their plans before-"
"Before you kidnapped me? Well, they didn't. I don't know anything." Y/N interrupted. She was partially telling the truth, the plan that she had heard was an extremely rough idea. They had probably come up with a more cohesive plan, but Y/N hadn't heard it on account of being kidnapped by an attractive psycho.
"See, I don't believe you." Leandros said. "You're an integral part of their little crew, so you obviously know something, and if you're not willing to tell me on your own, I'll have to force it out of you." Y/N's heartbeat quickened at his last statement. She didn't know the full extent of his abilities, but she knew it couldn't be anything good.
But, no matter how big the threat was, Y/N's friends came first. Leo came first. Piper came first. "I'm not telling you anything." she spat. Leandros' expression hardened.
"We're going to have to do this the hard way then." he gestured to the guards standing behind him and they brought in an assortment of tools, but most importantly, Leandros' silver dagger. He grabbed it out of a guard's hand and inspected the blade, definitely trying to intimidate Y/N (it worked). He flicked his hand and two guards made their way over to Y/N, grabbing her arms roughly and forcing her to her feet. She didn't even try to struggle at this point, knowing there was simply no way out of what was coming.
Leandros sauntered over to Y/N, flipping his dagger between his fingers. "Let me ask you again," he said, holding the blade up. "What are they planning?" Y/N glared daggers (get it) at him.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" she scoffed. Before she could take another breath, Leandros had swiped his sharpened dagger across her cheek, leaving a thin, bleeding line in its wake. Y/N might not have even noticed the quick movement if not for the stinging numbness in her face and the hot blood she felt dripping across her jaw.
She instinctively tried to reach up and touch her fresh cut, only for the guards' grip to tighten on her arms. Leandros looked at her smugly. "Let me ask you again. What are their plans?" Y/N shook her head, still slightly in shock from his swift attack. "Hm? Speak up now." he taunted. She shook her head again.
"No." she barely got the word out of her mouth before he placed the blade on her bicep, looking into her eyes before dragging it down to her elbow, making sure she felt it. She held in small screams, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of a reaction. Y/N could tell this cut was deeper than the one on her cheek, which was still bleeding profusely (faces bleed a lot, trust me). Leandros's demeanor changed slightly, and she could tell he was getting annoyed.
He set his dagger down and waved another guard into the cell, which was getting quite cramped. Y/N's eyes widened in horror as he saw the guard carry in a small iron rod in one palm and fire in the other (cyclops shit). Leandros took the iron rod and held it over the fire. Y/N watched in silence as the iron turned a burning red through the licks of flames. He finally pulled it out, small sparks flying from it. He turned towards Y/N, a sinister smile taking over his features.
"Where shall we put this? Of course we could go with the tongue, a classic, but mouths tend to heal quite quickly." Y/N glared at him, but fear started to break down her fiery demeanor. "Ooh, I've always wanted to try the collarbone. Right over the bone must hurt. So let's try again. Their plans." Y/N was getting lightheaded from the amount of blood she was losing, but she was still smart enough to know that she would never tell that sick man anything.
"You're not getting shit out of me." she pushed out weakly. Leandros' face darkened and he positioned the hot iron over her left collarbone. She instinctively started squirming, trying to back away from the blazing heat, which just made the guards grab her arms and her shoulders.
Y/N couldn't hold back her scream as the hot iron pressed into her skin. It was just a small circle, but the searing heat spread across her entire chest, the intense pain blinding her. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears, and it felt like days before he finally lifted the iron from her skin.
Even when the iron wasn't branding her anymore, the pain still lingered, pulsing through her body in waves of agony. She managed to force her eyes open and look up at Leandros, finding her knees had buckled during the whole ordeal.
"I will never tell you anything. Ever." she rasped. He glared down at her, annoyance and rage in his eyes. He was about to say something, but was interrupted by a loud blast from the hallway. He looked back in confusion, only to be met with a knocked out pile of cyclopes. Y/N could feel the guards' grips on her loosen, which was actually pretty unhelpful considering they were the only thing keeping her from falling.
Leandros moved after processing for a few seconds, rushing to Y/N and grabbing her.
"If only you'd told me their plans earlier." he whispered. "I can't let them have you." Y/N was barely able to process his words before she felt a piercing pain in her gut. She had a wave of deja vu. My nightmares. They weren't just dreams anymore. She was living it. She looked down at the silver dagger sticking out of her stomach, almost gagging at the sight.
"You should've listened to me Y/N." he whispered before letting her fall to the floor, booking it out the door. Y/N didn't have the strength to move. She slipped in and out of consciousness as she stared at the ceiling. She even started to hallucinate Leo crouching over her, trying to get her to wake up.
Wait.
She wasn't hallucinating. A surge of adrenaline rushed through her at the sight of Leo's face, and she managed to keep her eyes open for a few seconds. She could see him smile through what seemed to be tears. But her adrenaline quickly faded and she had to succumb to the fatigue that was wracking her body, her vision blurring and fading to black.
