Once the ship was fully docked and anchored down, the crew met on deck to try and devise a plan. They all sat down tentatively, waiting for someone to break the silence with a brilliant plan. Piper was the first one to speak up.
"Okay, obviously we don't have any kind of solid plan of attack. We know where the army is, and that's about it. From what the sonar is detecting, there are hundreds of monsters in there, and there's only seven of us. Not good odds. My only idea at this point is to either find something that will immobilize most of the monsters or call for backup." Piper said. No one else said anything, not being able to think of any better ideas. Jason cleared his throat.
"Well, in that case I think we should stay docked here for a day or two while we figure this out." Jason suggested.
"You know, me and Leo could probably make something that we can just toss in the cave and explode and make the monsters pass out. Kind of like tear gas." Vivian pitched. The crew nodded in agreement, liking the idea.
"Okay, that's a good start. How long do you think it'll take to make it?" Hazel asked.
"No more than a day and a half." Leo responded. Now that they had some sort of a plan, they were all much less on edge. They all slowly got up and went to do whatever they needed to do, but as Y/N was leaving she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and to her surprise, saw Leo.
"Hey, can we talk?" Leo asked quietly. Y/N nodded and they headed to her room, closing the door behind them. They sat on the bed awkwardly, a large space between them.
"So... I wanted to apologize for the other night in the med bay." Leo started. "I don't know what came over me, I-I crossed a line and I'm sor-"
Y/N cut him off. "You don't have to apologize. It wasn't exactly a one sided thing. I had just as much to do with it as you." she assured. Leo's eyebrows raised.
"When you say it wasn't one sided... what does that mean?" Leo probed.
"Well, I mean like... I didn't not want it to happen," Y/N confessed.
Leo's eyes flashed with surprise. "I uh, didn't not want it to happen either," he explained. Y/N studied his face for a few seconds before speaking.
"I'm tired of this." Y/N sighed before grabbing his face and smashing their lips together.
Saying it caught Leo by surprise would be the understatement of the century. After a half a second he got over his initial shock and melted into the kiss, his hands traveling down to Y/N's waist and pulling her closer. Her hands roamed into his hair, getting tangled in his curly locks. The kiss was soft and tender, almost familiar, like it was meant to happen. One of Leo's hands reached up to her jawline, caressing her face and sending sparks through her body. They got lost in each other and only broke apart when the ship rocked violently, sending them both flying across the room.
"Ow. Shit." Y/N groaned as she stood up from the floor. She rubbed her head as it throbbed from getting hit on the wall. Leo stood up from the other side of the room, rubbing his elbow in pain.
The boat shook again, but they managed to stay on their feet this time. "Can't we just kiss uninterrupted?" Leo complained. Y/N chuckled.
"C'mon, we should probably see what's going on." Y/N said, walking towards the door, Leo trailing behind her. They walked up the stairs and arrived to the deck, only to be met with a raging battle. There were dozens of monsters aboard the ship, and the crew was barely keeping them at bay. Piper was currently fighting off a large harpy, and Frank had transformed into a few different large animals while battling a cyclops. Jason and Hazel were back-to-back, fending off a group of angry looking Dryads. Viv had taken over the wheel, trying to keep the ship from sinking.
