It's finally time to post this! Way too much binge drinking and many lonely nights of blasting scenecore in my room were required to create this cursed document, and I'm soooo nervous to show it to the world but it's good to finally have this out there! ;D
The story ended up a lot longer than originally intended and it's possible that it might never get finished, so I reached a natural breakpoint where it kinda makes sense as a complete-ish work and decided to post it like that, hence why it's called "Volume One". I still plan to keep going with it, but in case I don't, at least we have this.
Function Disorder started its life as a TTRPG called "Heretics of Arillien", which I ran for a few friends in a private group chat. I pitched it to them as an edgy yiff adventure that's kinda like Changed meets Cult of the Lamb in a futuristic fantasy version of my city. It didn't last long because scheduling was a nightmare and because I found TTRPGs to be a difficult medium to work with. Maybe eventually I'll have another shot at something like that, but for now, I've poured all my ideas from Heretics of Arillien into this book instead.
While it starts out as a very different beast, Function Disorder is still very much an edgy yiff adventure in its later chapters. It includes explicit sex scenes, including dubcon and incest. Furthermore, the story contains moderate violence and fantasy drug use. So, be prepared for all of that >:3
The name was a last-minute change, I was calling still calling it "Heretics of Arillien" or "Heretics Project" or "Arillien: The Novel" up until the week before this goes live.
