After a few hours later and an outfit change, (Her usual tight t-shirt and a mini ish skirt and converse) Hunter arrived at the address Charles had given her earlier. Some sort of CIA facility. The campus was massive but somehow Hunter made her way into the middle of it. Walking down a corridor, Hunter stopped when she got to a door. Opening it slowly, she was greeted by a group of people who looked the same age as Hunter. Not that she knew how old she was at that.
"Ah, you must be the one Charles mentioned!" A blonde girl with a beaming smile pointed out.
Not knowing what to do, Hunter settled with a fake smile. People, ick. Thoughts began to flood her head, including why she agreed to do this in the first place.
"Take a seat!" The blonde girl said excitedly.
"I'm good" She muttered as her eyes darted around everyone in the room.
"We should think of code names." The blonde girl spoke. "We're government agents now, we should have secret code names"
"Hang on no-one told me that I was working for the government. Not happening, blondie" Hunter scoffed as she got up to leave.
"Wait!" The blonde girl spoke, jumping up behind Hunter. "give us one chance. And... and if you don't like it, you can leave"
Looking at the girl in the eyes, Hunter noticed they were a soft shade of blue. Peering around her shoulder, she looked around at the other people in the room. The blonde who stood Infront of her nodded eagerly as she waited for her response.
"I'm listening" Hunter said with a hint of suspicion in her voice.
"I wanna be called Mystique" the woman who was now called Mystique said with a grin.
"I'm sorry but do you have an actual name?" Hunter interrupted.
"Raven" She responded with a nod, still smiling.
"Damn I wanted to be called Mystique" A boy with a glass in his hand spoke.
"Well tough I called it" She retorted, merging into the boy, mimicking his movements.
Hunter didn't want to be seemed as interested because she wasn't sure about these lot but she didn't want to make her life decisions in one night. Hunter liked her life, well- partially. Except from her parents, she loves her life. Hunter wasn't giving her life up for some government recruits and black spandex.
"And I'm way more mysterious than you" Raven continued, changing back to her original form. Grins burst from everyone in the room and a light hearted clap came from a few of the teens. Hunter stood where she was in shock, not everyone is accustomed to a shapeshifter.
"Darwin what about you?" Raven asked a dark skinned boy.
"Well, 'Darwin' is already my nickname, and you know, it sort of fits. Adapt to survive and all" Darwin explained. "check this out" He said, getting up Infront of everyone and strutting over to the fish tank, dunking his whole head in the tank, earning a frown from Hunter. On each side of his neck, gills appeared.
Ooh's and Aah's could be heard as Darwin took his head out the tank. "thankyou, thankyou" Darwin said. "what about you?" he asked the boy who Raven morphed into.
