To Hunter's relief, she got out of the sopping wet clothes, (stained with a hint of blood) that she had been in for the past two hours. She changed her grey blazer jacket and white blood stained top with yet another tank top in grey this time and black jeans, with a black and white checked jacket.
The group were getting ready to board the private jet Charles had acquired to get ready to go to the Paris Peace accords in any attempt to stop Raven. Hunter found a time to talk to Peter before they took off. She watched as Charles threw him the keys to the curtesy car they had used with a smile.
"Do me a favour and return it for me" Charles told Peter.
"...okay?"
"Peter, take it slow" Charles finally said as he walked into the jet.
"Your keeping the car aren't you?" Hunter asked Peter, walking up behind him.
He turned around and gave the brunette a smile. "Oh definitely not" He said as he nodded, he definitely was keeping the car.
"You not coming?"
"No, oh, I'm already wanted"
"Look," Hunter sighed, "You probably have a lot to say and we don't really have much time before I go and I know shit happened and I didn't make any contact but-"
Before Hunter could continue, she was cut off by a tight hug by Peter, taking her by surprise but she sunk into the hug.
"I know." He said quietly as he let go of her. "After this all blows over, we meet up and explain everything"
"Hunter!" The voice of Logan called out from top of the jet.
Brushing her hair out of her face, she turned round and nodded at Logan, "yeah, I'll be there in a sec"
Turning back around she smiled and took a deep breath. "It's been nice seeing you again. oh but how's your sister?"
"You remember her and not me? Dude, she's like super annoying" Peter huffed.
"The last actually proper memory of you is that you were rather beaten up what would you prefer?" Hunter asked rhetorically.
"Ah, at least my gorgeous face is in your dreams" Peter said as he placed his hand to his heart.
"Okay I'm leaving now" Hunter smiled, knowing they were back on good terms.
"Bye Hunts" He smiled, one hand holding onto his bag.
Without thinking, she pressed a quick kiss to his cheek then made her way to the jet stairs. Turning around for the last time she waved and jogged up the stairs to meet Logan and Hank who were smirking.
"Shut up" Hunter scoffed.
"We didn't say anything" Logan said as he raised his hands in defence.
"you were thinking of" Hunter snapped back.
Shaking his head with a smile, Logan shut the jet door and Hunter flopped onto a very soft and comfy leather seat. Laying her tired legs on the other chair she titled her head back in relaxation. Then Hank came over. Groaning, Hunter retracted her legs and make space for Hank to sit down.
"It's nice to see a smile on your face again" Hank smiled.
"It feels good" Hunter smiled softly, looking out the window and spotting Peter.
Hunter would never admit it was good to see someone who she thought she would never see again but with the prison break, it made her re think things. Definitely not about Peter... well maybe.
The jet was quiet as it took off and to pass time Hunter and Hank decided to play Uno, which was released not long after the school opened to take Hunter's mind off the plane. Erik made his way out the toilet with a new shirt on in exchange for his prison uniform and as he walked past Logan, who sat on the other side of the aisle from Hank and Hunter, he reached to grab the newspaper. But Logan quickly stabbed the newspaper before Erik could take it and death stared him. Taking back his hand, Erik continued to walk past him with a taunt.
