Too Much

*Arin POV*

We were all sitting in the waiting room, except Jungkook, our maknae. He was currently on the set, being filmed for his individual scene. Today was his birthday and the staff was planning a surprise birthday party. 

They told us, "Later when you see him joke around a bit, all you kids come in. Then with a loud noise y'all be like, 'You think this is a joke?', 'What time is it already?'- These kind of things."

Yup, we were all taking part in his surprise party. We would act mad at Jungkook and make him sad, but later surprise him with the birthday party! It's gonna be so fun and exciting.

But he might be very sad at first because we have to scold him, even though he would probably do nothing wrong.

Namjoon told to the Bangtan Bomb camera, "You've to film it well!" We all nodded.

Soon our maknae returned to the waiting room after his individual shooting. He had no idea about our plan, whatsoever. The camera was recording his reactions as he read fan letters on his phone.

"It's Kookie Day? Where's Kookie Day?... Ohhh, Kookie Day~ Yeah~ Thank you," he exclaimed and smiled shyly.

After some time, we went to shoot the choreography as a group. Our plan included the MV producer scolding Jungkook for some mistake in the choreo which he'd never really do.

He shouted out, "Jungkook-ah, you have to get the center right! Alright?" Jungkook who was clearly confused because he had gotten the position right, simply nodded.

We did a retake, with Jungkook being even more focused than last time. After the retake, we all gathered in the waiting room along with the staff after being called by the Manager hyung, and Producer-nim, which was, of course, all planned.

The camera was already hidden behind some things so that Jungkook didn't become suspicious of our plan. Jungkook guessed this meeting was because they wanted to talk about the 'supposed' mistake he made in the choreo.

He began to defend himself, "I matched with the sticked tape..." Namjoon started scolding him (acting), "Why are you like that? Just because it's your birthday, you are restless?"

I looked over to the camera which was now being held by the cameraman. The red light which indicated 'ON AIR' was currently hidden by a piece of tape.

After the staff retouched our makeup a little bit, they left the room, leaving only us, the manager, and the producer. We stood up. Our manager asked, "What's the problem?" Jungkook replied, "I matched well with the marked tape... In between the dancer-hyungs, I was just to the left." The manager countered, "You've practiced it only once or twice? What are you upto right now? Huh? Tell me!"

We knew the manager was only acting, but little Jungkook wasn't aware of it. After nearly ten minutes of scolding, the manager pretended to become angry and asked furiously, "Jeon Jungkook! You think you're good and everyone else is wrong?"

Jungkook simply shook his head and said, "No." The manager asked again, "Why are you being like this?" "I'm sorry," Jungkook's voice almost broke. The manager eventually left the room, leaving only us.

Now it was time for us to attack Jungkook. Namjoon spoke up first, "Jungkook-ah, Are you mad cuz we didn't celebrate your birthday?" Jungkook quickly disagreed, "No no, nothing like that hyung."

Yoongi then fired upon him, "You were in the wrong. You kept joking around as well. You should've stopped when we started filming." Jungkook's head was down in shame, and he simply sniffled quietly, wiping the tears off the corner of his eyes.

Namjoon spoke again, "As a leader, have I done anything to you?" You usually do well..." Jungkook shook his head quickly.

The staff interrupted the heated remark session to call us for shooting. We all started leaving one by one.

Jungkook, to double-check his position, asked, "Will it do if I move a bit to the right?" The staff nodded. Little did Jungkook know that on the other side of the door, Yoongi was holding the cake and ready to enter. 

He entered the room and we all started singing the 'Happy Birthday' song. Confusion and surprise was painted on the maknae's face. The boys started hitting Jungkook's back playfully. He started crying. He then blew out the candles and the manager apologized for his behavior earlier and wished him.

Namjoon asked Jungkook to share some of his thoughts to the camera. "Producer-nim, you're too much," Jungkook whined. We all chuckled and huddled together as the staff took photos.

Later, Jungkook shared his thoughts with the camera, "Ah you were all acting... I thought it was real~ But you know, their acting improved a lot. Really! I didn't even suspect anything... I almost had a mental breakdown. Ahh, I'm vexing right now, but still, I feel good. Today was the best, the happiest birthday ever~ Up until now, it's my 17th birthday, but this was my happiest birthday."

I entered the camera frame and said to Jungkook, "Jungkook-ie~ Happy 17th birthday! We love you so much. May you be happy every day of your life."

"Yah noona, you sound like an old grandma saying that, "Jungkook teased. "Yah how dare you! I'm only 19. I didn't even enter my twenties, unlike Jin ahjussi~" I scoffed and hit him playfully.

"Okay sorry sorry, chill noona. Also, don't let Jin hyung hear you," he smiled cheekily.

A/N: Hey guys, I know I updated late today, sorry. Look at this, Jungkook's surprise birthday party!!! I almost cried when I watched the video. The way his voice was so sad, was so heartbreaking. Anyways, I hope you loved this chapter. I literally sat for like 2 hours thinking of what to write, when this idea clicked me. Also I hope you guys remember that bold font is English while the normal font is Korean. Haha anyways, I should go now, I'm so hungry. Comment and vote please. Stay tuned. Byeee.
