The air crackled with nervous energy on the set of BTS' debut music video, "No More Dream." The maknaes, barely teenagers themselves, bounced on their feet, rehearsing the choreography anxiously. Arin, the only female member, stood beside them, her expression a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Just a few months ago, they were a bunch of trainees grinding it out in practice rooms. Now, they were standing on a lit set, cameras rolling, and the weight of expectation hanging heavy in the air.
They were dressed in black and white casual street-style clothing, like jeans, t-shirts, and jackets, to reflect their rebellious attitude.
Sejin, their manager, approached them, a reassuring smile on his face. "Alright, guys! Remember, you've got this. You've been practicing for months. Just follow our instructions for what you're supposed to do and how you're supposed to act and you'll be fine."
Namjoon spoke next, "Come here." The members gathered around him and taking the cue, they put their hands out and yelled, 'Fighting!' after which, they tossed their hands down.
The first scene called for them to dance in an empty, graffiti-covered classroom, their expressions hardened into defiance. They were supposed to embody rebellious students breaking free from the constraints of school life.
Jungkook, the youngest, giggled nervously as they lined up. He hadn't quite mastered the "tough guy" look. Taehyung nudged him and offered a playful fist bump. A grin replaced his nervous giggle, and the cameraman captured the genuine friendship between them for the Bangtan Bomb.
The music began playing and the new, young group began dancing to it, their facial expressions matching the role they were supposed to play.
After the whole dance choreography was shot, the director called for a break, while he began shooting individual scenes, starting with Yoongi. The other members gathered around to discuss their next scenes and to wipe their perspiration.
Namjoon, their supportive leader, offered words of encouragement to his fellow members. He reminded them to stay focused and to give their best performance.
The next scene took place in a set that resembled a bustling city street. The members changed into their next outfits, which were similar to their previous ones but had more intricate patterns on them. Some of the staff members were dressed in teenager's clothes to act in the background because the company couldn't afford extras.
As the music began to play, the members started to dance, their movements fluid and powerful. Arin, despite not being part of the dance line, joined in with her own unique style, adding a touch of grace and femininity to the group's powerful performance. The cameraman captured the scene, focusing on the group's energy and charisma.
The next scene was a playful one, set inside a school bus. The members were told to act like typical teenagers, goofing around and laughing, and they did their part correctly.
The camera captured their genuine laughter, making the scene feel authentic and relatable. It was a perfect way to showcase their youthful energy and bond as a group.
After the scene was shot perfectly and the members had descended from the bus, Arin giggled and exclaimed, "Wow! That was so fun." Jungkook nodded, agreeing with his noona. "It's fun~," he said. Yoongi agreed with the youngest's words.
"Yeah, it was a blast," Jimin said to the camera, pouting slightly. "I'm a bit sad that this shoot is almost over." Hoseok chuckled and patted Jimin on the back. "Don't worry, Jiminie," he said. "We'll have many more opportunities to shoot music videos in the future." Under his breath, he mumbled 'hopefully,' so Jimin couldn't hear him.
Jungkook entered the camera frame and joined the conversation, "What are you talking about without me~?" "We were just talking about how much fun we had during the shoot," Jimin replied frankly.
"I know," Jungkook said, snickering. "I was just messing with you."
The group continued to chat and laugh, the atmosphere light and carefree. They were excited to see the final product of their hard work and to share it with the world.
A/N: There wasn't much in the Bangtan Bomb, so I had to make up some stuff of my own. It's quite short, I know. Sorry. But I hope you enjoyed~ Stay tuned. Byeee...
