Melon Music Awards 2013

A whirlwind of activity engulfed the backstage area. Hair stylists and makeup artists scurried around, transforming the rookie band into polished idols. The air was thick with anticipation, a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

The BTS members found themselves in front of the Bangtan Bomb camera as the final touches were being applied to their makeup and hair. The bright lights and the camera's hum created a surreal atmosphere. The cameraman nudged them to speak about how they were feeling.

Taehyung was the first to speak. "We definitely won't get the award...But maybe we could win the participation award," he said. The camera cut to Hoseok exclaiming, "Ah I'm shaking." Taehyung asked, "Really?"

In the background, you could a staff member saying that she was 100% sure EXO would win the award. Hearing this, the BTS members stiffened, their already low confidence dropping even more down.

But Namjoon suddenly said, "If we do receive it, we'll all get mental breakdowns." Hoseok agreed with him, "I'll cry if we do receive it."

Suddenly Arin appeared in the frame wearing a black leather top, a black leather jacket, a black leather skirt, and black boots too. She was fully covered with fake black leather. She also had a black beret on her head and a black choker around her neck.

She said, "Hobi-ah, don't cry okay? If we do win the award, then it will be due to our hard work. If we don't, then we'll win it next year, okay?" She smiled widely at her sunshine. He was feeling low so Arin had taken the responsibility of cheering everyone up.

She turned to face the camera, smiled and said, "I really do hope that we win the Best Rookie award. We've been working hard since our debut and I truly believe we deserve it."

A hush fell over the stage area as the MC was about to announce the winner of the Best Rookie Award. Each member of all groups held their breath, their eyes fixated on the stage.

The MC announced, "2013 Melon Music Awards and the Best New Artist is...BTS!" A collective gasp escaped the BTS members' lips. Disbelief, excitement, and gratitude washed over them simultaneously. They exchanged stunned glances before rushing towards the stage, their hearts pounding with adrenaline.

Up on the stage, Namjoon nervously addressed the crowd through the mic in his hand, "Thank you to Bang Sihyuk PD-nim and Bangtan...and last but not the least our ARMYs! I love you, thank you so much."

The members came sprinting and leaping to the backstage. They were still shocked by their achievement, but they had to get ready to go and perform on the stage. Their hearts were giddy with excitement as they prepared in a mindless state. The members again conveyed their feelings to the backstage camera.

Hoseok exclaimed, "We really didn't expect it...ah what to do!" The camera cut to Seokjin. "I almost cried." Arin jumped in and exclaimed, "AHH I still can't believe we won the award. I know I said before that we deserved it and all but...aish it's unbelievable. We owe it all to our ARMY, of course, Bang PD, the company, and also our parents. Thank you so much."

The camera cut to Jimin putting on his jacket, "Ah I really don't know what I'm supposed to say. Just amazing really! Thank you so much our ARMYs! We'll be back to share our thoughts but first, we have to go perform."

After the members came back from performing, they went in front of the camera (as a group) and resumed explaining their feelings. Namjoon started, "I had everything sorted out for the statement. Just in case we'd win. But upon hearing the results I was way too nervous and when they handed me the mic, I said Bang Sihyuk PDnim. I almost forgot to thank our parents but Yoongi reminded me. And I spoke too fast too haha."

The members laughed at Namjoon's confession. After the laughter subdued, he continued, "But seriously, we didn't expect at all to win the award. We've been hoping to win this award since our debut promotions. So thank you really, thank you. 2! 3! Bangtan!" All the members bowed.

As the members left the camera frame one by one, the youngest of the members, Jungkook, stayed back and began dancing in happiness. Jimin joined him.

A/N: OMG the boys got their first award. Look at their faces, their so happy! Yayy. Also that outfit of IU is AMAZING! I love it. Anyways, most of the dialogues I wrote are from the backstage video of them. I hope you liked this chapter. Please comment and vote. Stay healthy and stay tuned. Byee.
