Chapter 14
I woke up ahead of Synestine who I believe won't have a morning she was expecting. She would be so surprised and I can already see that happening.
We won't be able to check in today until noon, so I'm looking for a place where Synestine can take away her hangover because she will have one once she wakes up.
I'm glad that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be for me. I drink less than Synestine. She was having fun and I thought she deserved that. I'm not stopping her.
I drove around to see some breakfast places we could go in. Hindi rin ako nakatulog nang maayos kagabi. I couldn't forget what happened then, but I knew it was just a mistake and nothing more than that. I knew by the time she would wake up, wala siyang matatandaan do'n. Hindi ko ipapaalala sa kanya 'yong nangyari.
A moment later when I found a breakfast place, I parked the car in the vacant parking lots. Nilingon ko naman si Synestine at sa tingin ko'y malalim pa rin ang tulog niya. I hesitated if I should wake her up or let her sleep in the meantime. Sa huli ay hinayaan ko na lamang na matulog siya. I could just grab her some meal and have it take away for her.
I walked inside the breakfast place and somehow a few customers lined up to the counter. I checked their menu and they all have sort of breakfast delicacies to some heavy meals. I could definitely use some coffee and Synestine might need one as well. As soon as I stood in front of the counter, I placed my order and paid for them.
Habang hinihintay ko ang order ko ay napalingon ako sa pumasok sa shop. Nagulat pa ako nang makita ko si Sy ro'n. I waved my hand to get her attention. Hindi agad siya napalingon sa direksyon, but as soon as she did, she went towards me and I noticed how she was squinting her eyes as if she was feeling something.
"Hey! Good morning. . . How are you feeling?" I asked.
She crossed her arms while her head bowed down. "I don't think I feel so well today. . ."
"I ordered you some coffee," I told her.
"I don't think coffee would actually help with this headache," she said. "I could probably need some juice or tea. I preferred to have them. Could you order them for me, please? I'm just going to look for a table. . ."
"No problem."
I watched her settle in a vacant table before I went back to the counter to order her juice. I guess, I would drink two coffees today. As soon as I was done, they told me they would serve it so I joined Synestine at our table.
"How are you feeling?" I asked one more time even though she answered it already.
She shook her head. "I feel so bad," her voice grudges as if she was regretting how she got so drunk last night. "This is the worst hangover I have had in my whole life! I don't think I'm going to drink again."
"Yeah, you went all out last night," I commented.
"See? You should've stopped me, Cho."
I chuckled. "I would, but you're having so much fun! I don't want to ruin it."
She smirked. "Yeah, it was fun, but hangover sucks. . . Anyway, don't bother telling me if I did embarrassing things last night. I don't want to hear them."
"I promised you didn't do anything bad."
"Well, I hope so. . ." she said.
When our orders were served, she took her time sipping her orange juice. In the back of my mind, I want to tell her about what happened last night. The kiss. But sure, it won't make sense at all. She was drunk and she could easily tell that she did that stuff even though she was with Cameron. Ayoko na lang mag-overthink. If she doesn't want to know about it then I guess it was my secret to keep.
