Chapter 10

Harper sits down wrapping her leg in a secluded room. She rips open her pants hissing in pain and wrapping it with shaky hands.

"I can get Lucy '' She freezes for a moment before going back to her leg.

"Save it for someone who needs it "" You look like you need it?" "I've had worse and your sister wasn't there"

"Harper can we talk" Peter begs and she stands up glaring at him. "I have nothing to say to you" "Ok well I have a lot to say to you!" She looks at him slightly impressed.

He notices that she's not running off and his brain goes blank. "I..you..um" "Your majesty I'm busy hurry up" he looks up.

"Don't do that, please don't. I'm Peter" She looks down uncomfortable.

"I don't know what you went through these past few years.." "Thirteen hundred. Not exactly a few" "Harper shut up!" He snaps and she closes her mouth.

"Let me talk! Thank you" He breathes out heavily. "I don't know what you have been through nor can I imagine. I do know that I never stopped caring and thinking about you and I still lo-like you a lot. You're my best friend Harp and I-I can't lose you" She scoffs and he stops.

"You lost me when you left" "I didn't want to leave, I tried to get back every single day" he pleads with her.

"No, no stop. You don't get to do-you left me! Not the other way around. You left a-and I thought that maybe I finally found someone who cared, someone who actually tried! I've never had anyone and then I had you and you left! You left me!" She screams, breathing heavily.

"Harp" "Shut up, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you" He steps forward and wraps his arms around her as she squirms.

"Let go, Let go" She mumbles trying to pull away. Knowing if she really wanted to she could but she just stays frozen and unmoving.

"I'm never leaving you again" He whispers and she shakes her head back and forth pushing back. "No, you'll leave again, you'll leave ev.." She gasps for breath holding her stomach. "Everyone leaves" She finishes turning around and trying to breathe normally.

He steps forward to grab her arm but she pulls back. "Harper please" "You-you aren't my friend anymore" his face falls and tears well up in his eyes.

"You don't mean that" "I do" She says with a straight face but her heart is breaking even more if that was possible.

She turns around walking out and grabbing her horse Dana and starts riding in the woods. She slides off and starts breathing heavily.

She tries crying. She tries hard but nothing comes out. Dana rubs her nose against her.

"Go away! Just go away!" She screams and her horse takes off. She falls to the ground holding her chest and gasping for air.

Her stomach burns and her heart physically hurts.
