The next day Edmund was back and Harper was leaning against a tree watching them eat and laugh and enjoy each other's presence.

She couldn't help but feel completely jealous. They had everything. Family, friends, status. She had nothing.

"Slow down Ed, Narnia isn't going to run out of toast" The youngest Lucy says. "We can pack some up for the journey home" Peter says and Harper narrows her eyes listening.

"We're going home?" Susan asks. "You three are, I made mom a promise to keep you safe but it doesn't mean I can't stay and help '' Great, he's going to get himself and her killed. She thought bitterly.

Not that she really cares if she dies but that means he would have to die and he doesn't deserve that. Well she hopes he doesn't.

"We want to stay and help," Lucy says. "In the time we've been here Ed's been captured, Lucy almost drowned, it's too dangerous" Harper notices how he places all this responsibility on himself and when things don't work out all the blame too.

"Exactly, I've seen what the white witch can do and I've helped her do it, we need to stay" Edmund says and Harper feels a jolt of sadness towards the boy. He's only twelve and everyone deems him a traitor for one mistake.

"Guess that's it then" Susan stands up. "Where are you going?" Peter asks. "Getting in some practice" She smiles and Lucy jumps up following her.

"We should practice too," Edmund says. "I wish Harper was here, she's really good"

"Thanks your majesty" She walks out close to the boys making them jump in surprise.

"Come on" She starts walking and glances behind her to see the boys look at each other before shrugging and following. Hours were spent practicing before the white witch showed up threatening to kill Edmund but Aslan talked to her and fixed it

The next day Susan and Lucy told the boys that he was dead and found Harper talking to Oreius and told her.

"I don't think I can lead us," Peter admits to Harper. "That's exactly why you will do great, you don't want to but you have to" he nods at her words as they suit up.

"I've practiced once," Edmund says next to her. "You're a natural, you'll do great, stay by me though, ok?" He nods thanking her.

The fight was over, they won.

The white witch was gone. Narnia was finally free.

The coronation and party lasted over a week. Afterwards High king Peter appointed Harper the General of the guards which she gladly accepted. This was a start to a relationship that would grow over the years.
