Chapter 15

Peter wakes up to Harper in his arms. Her face snuggled up in his chest and there legs intertwined.He smiles down at her unintentionally moving. She shifts and opens her eyes looking up at him.

"Hi" She whispers and smiles.

"Morning beautiful" her cheeks turn a little red and he leans down kissing her nose as she scrunches it up.

"You're so cute" "And you're a big old flirt" She jokes.

"Pete, what time is it?" "I think like noon" "Noon? I haven't slept this late in hundreds of years" "Ok grandma" She smiles and hits his chest. "Show some respect to your elder" He snorts.

"We probably should show ourselves at some point today" She says and he shakes his head burning his face in her neck. "No, you're too comfy"

"I want breakfast" "I want to kiss you" "No I have morning breath" She says as he inches his face closer to hers. "I don't care" "Well I do"

He stops her by placing a quick kiss on the lips. "Yeah it's pretty bad" He jokes and she lightly hits his face sitting up. "I have to get dressed" Harper goes to get out of bed but Peter pulls her down by the waist and wraps his arms around her.

"Your mine now"

"Let go" She laughs and he looks down at her smiling wide. "You make me so happy" She blushes and reaches her hand up pushing back his hair. "You make me so annoyed" he rolls his eyes but knows that's her way of saying it back.

"Peter, are you awake?" And knock is on the door and Harper's eyes widen. "Um, Well-one second" Peter gets up dragging Harper behind the door.

He opens it and Edmund's stands there. "Did you just wake up?" "Y-yeah?" Edmund's eyes narrow at his older brother. "Alright well we are about to have lunch and you missed breakfast, I was sent to get you and Harper"

"I'll get her" Peter says quickly, too quickly.

A smirk grows on Edmund's face. "Finally going to ask her out? Only took you sixteen years. I'm sick and tired of hearing you rant about her. Just kiss the girl already "

"Goodbye Ed" He shuts the door turning to Harper who has an eyebrow raised.

"How interesting," She says and he rolls his eyes, his cheeks bright red.

"Go get dressed" "Yes your majesty" She curtsies and he goes to hit her but she ducks snickering and runs out the door.

Harper meets Peter out her door and he holds his arm out. "My lady" "General" She corrects and he nods. "My General" She snorts and they start walking towards the dining room.

"We should probably keep this quiet until we decide to tell them" Peter says and Harper nods agreeing. "Yeah, they might go insane" "You are being too kind" "You know me" She says sarcastically.

They walk into the dining hall and sit down as they all look over. "You slept late Harper" Susan says and she takes a sip of her drink. "Yep" "As I recall your an early bird" Lucy chimes in.

"Things change" She says, raising an eyebrow. "Apparently" Edmund mumbles.

"What was that Ed?" She asks and he shakes his head. "Nothing" he gives her a look and she gives him one right back.

"Is this a sibling thing?" Caspian says confused looking between all of us. "Well I for one have no idea what is happening" Lucy says joining in. He nods satisfied with that.

"I was thinking we could go riding today," Lucy says smiling at Harper. "Lu I wish I could but I have to check on the soldiers" She nods knowing she has more important things.

"I'll go with you Lucy," Susan says. After breakfast Harper gets up with Edmund and they start walking down to the training rooms. Caspian already talked to her and confirmed he most definitely wanted to keep her as the King's General which she was very grateful for.

"Thanks for helping me today Ed" She says nudging her best friend. "Want to tell me what's going on with you and Peter?" He says instead and Harper looks at him stoned faced. "Nothing is going on"

"Really? When I asked him his face went bright red and he was a stuttering mess. And you weren't in your room this morning. I went to yours first" She groans annoyed. Peter has always been a horrible liar.

"We talked" "And?" He raises an eyebrow. "We made up, talked about my faults and his" "Did you kiss?" He asks and Harper's mouth drops.

"Ed!" "Well did you?" He snorts at her reaction.

Harper's face goes red and Edmund's mouth drops. "You did! Oh my goodness wait until the girls hear about this, we've been betting on you guys for years.." "Betting?" "I think Susan won of course" He grumbles.

Her eyes were wide and cleared her throat trying to regain her composure. "Who admitted?" He asks and she rolls her eyes.

"Wait he did? I always thought you would be the first person. Like slap him across the face and just admit you love each other" she laughs at that leaning against him slightly.

"Afraid you lost that bet too" "Dang, can't believe Pete found the nerve. You know he almost told you like five times back in our golden days"

"What stopped him?" She asked genuinely curious.

"He chickened out, threw up a couple times if I remember correctly" He snorts and Harper's eyes widen at that.

"Ed, can you do me a favor and not tell the girls yet? We want to keep it quiet" He nods. "Of course"
