Left behind: Peter Pevensie

Chapter 18

"I'll be back," Harper says, kissing Peter's cheek and running to catch up to Aslan.

"Aslan, may I talk to you?" She asks slowing down at his side. "Of course, I've been waiting for you, little one," Harper nods, sometimes forgetting that the lion seems to know everything.

"I was wondering. I know the Pevensies have to go home at some point. What's my part in this?" She asks somewhat nervously for the answer.

"That's entirely up to you my dear. You may stay in Narnia but I do wish you would go home"

"This is my home" She says in a whisper and Aslan stops walking, smiling softly at her.

"This isn't your home no matter how much you force yourself to think that. You will live a long long life here and only die when Peter does. It could be thousands of years"

"I can't go back" Her voice cracks. "Why is that?" She looks down ashamed.

"I tried to kill myself, if I go back I die" "We will never know what happens if you don't try" She sighs. "My father he.."

"I know, but you may find the Pevensies and stay with them if that's what you wish" "What if I can't find them" Aslan shakes his head.

"You will never know if you don't try. It's time for you to go home my dear "

"I'm scared" She admits. "I know, now go join your friends," Harper nods, hugging the lion before walking off.

"I'm going home," Harper whispers to herself.

"Where's Peter and Edmund?" Harper asks as they sit down for dinner. "They went to shower after training," Lucy says and Harper nods.

After talking to Aslan she hasn't had a chance to talk to Peter yet. They sit around waiting for the boys when they walk in.

Peter's face lights up seeing Harper. He walks over to sit beside her. He leans down, pressing a quick kiss to her lips sitting down he looks around to see everyone gaping.

"Peter" Harper hisses and he looks at her confused. "What?"

Then the girls squeal, jumping up and hugging each other. "You kissed me," Harper says. "So?" Peter says until it hits him looking around at the others.

"Oh"

"Oh indeed" Edmund says, taking a sip of his wine.

"Why are they acting surprised? It's obvious this has been going on for awhile" Caspian says and the girls look at him with a death stare.

"You knew and you didn't say anything?" Susan snaps and Caspian looks scared for his life. "We wanted to keep it quiet for a while," Harper says, eating her food as if nothing had happened.

"I can't believe this! Harper is going to be my sister in law!" Lucy squeals in joy. "That's weird" Edmund says and Peter hits him over the head.

"Just because she's always been my best friend. Har we are going to be related" The two look at each other with smirks on their faces.

"The house is getting burned down" Susan mumbles and Edmund and Harper high five. "Hold on, we can't just assume they are getting married, that's rude" Susan says again.

"We decided that next year we will" Peter says and the mouths drop again. "B-but you'll only be eighteen?" Susan says confused.

"That's the legal age, plus it's not like we have only known each other for a week" Harper says, rolling her eyes. Lucy runs over, hugging Harper tightly.
