Despite how Harry knew that Hermione had meant well, it didn't stop him from being angry with her. He had been the owner of the best broom in the world for a few short hours, and now, because of her interference, he didn't know whether he would ever see it again.

Both Harry and Ron remained positive that there was nothing wrong with the Firebolt now. Instead they worried about what sort of state it would be in once it had been subjected to all sorts of anti-jinx tests?

Ron was furious with Hermione too. As far as he was concerned, the stripping-down of a brand-new Firebolt was nothing less than criminal damage. Hermione, who remained convinced that she had acted for the best, started avoiding the common room.

This forced Rhea to divide her time between taking refuge in the library with Hermione and hanging out in the common room with Ron and Harry. All of them were glad when the rest of the school returned shortly after New Year, and Gryffindor Tower became crowded and noisy again.

"Look, Georgie," Fred exclaimed, dropping down on the couch next to Rhea, "ickle-Ronniekins didn't bore her to death over the break."

"It's a Christmas miracle, Freddie," George said, sitting down on her other side.

"You two should be nicer to him," Rhea looked disapprovingly at the twins.

"No thanks," Fred and George said at the same time. Rhea rolled her eyes fondly. Then she saw Ginny sitting down on an armchair near the couch they sat on, quietly observing the scene.

"How was your Christmas, Ginny?" Rhea asked with a kind smile. She never really got much opportunity to talk to her youngest cousin since she always seemed to shy away.

"Good," Ginny offered a small smile in return. "It was nice seeing mum and dad again."

"Not counting how mum spent most of Christmas break trying to get us to study for our O.W.Ls," Fred sighed dramatically.

"It ruined the entire spirit of the holidays," George said with a sad shake of his head.

"Maybe if you actually did some studying," Nicholas said as he approached the group dressed in a navy blue knitted jumper with a white 'N' on it, "she wouldn't have to nag all the time."

"She's not here, Nicky, you don't have to take her side," Fred rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, you're already her favourite child after Bill and Percy," George added. "And how do you know we didn't study, huh?"

Nicholas sat down on the armrest of the chair Ginny sat on and glanced down at the young girl, "Did they do any studying over Christmas, Gin?"

The youngest Weasley blushed and shook her head, "Not at all."
