My limbs feel numb but I know this huge amount of smoke will cause people to investigate.

I have to keep moving.

I can finally see the tree line. I'll be able to hide in there.

I whimper and will my feet to keep moving.

I spot movement in my peripheral vision.

I didn't realize until they're infront of me that I can't hear.

"Orochimaru." I say so relived to see him.

He says something but I don't get any of it.

His mouth keeps moving but it's completely silent.

He must have finally realized and placed his hands on my right ear.

I see a faint green glow.

I didn't know he could do medical ninjitsu.

"Akari?" He tries again.

This time I can hear him faintly.

"Orochimaru..." I say and cry harder.

He tries to say something but I interrupt him.

"He's dead!" I sob.

He tries to pull me off the ground.

"What? Who?" He asks leaning down.

"Kakashi's dead!" I scream.

Orochimaru stills.

I lay my head on his lap and scream cry.

He places one hand on my back. And the other on my shoulder

"Akari I'm so sorry." He says.

"I tried to follow you but I got lost." He says.

I wake up on the ground. I sit up and see Orochimaru dragging out corpses from the rubble.

I stand and walk over carefully.

He sees me and beckons me over.

"This is everyone." He says.

Most of them are burnt unrecognizable.

He watches me as I look at them all.

"He's not here. Or there's one missing." I say.

He shakes his head.

"You are the only one who got out." He says.

Orochimaru and I sit at the top of a tree and watch the sunrise.

We don't say a word.

I hear rapid footsteps in the distance. Orochimaru does too and climbs down first.

I follow and he helps me down.

"Wait here." He instructs.

I wait for about ten minutes before I hear something again.

"Kabuto?" I ask the dark shadow.

"How'd you guess?" He says smiling.

"Sit I'll heal you a little." He says motioning me to sit.

I follow and he places a hand on my chest.

The bright green glow is a comforting sight to see.

"Her ear too." Orochimaru says stepping into view.

I smile when Kabuto shakes his head.

"All of this." He says pointing, "You're one tough lady."

Once he healed me as best as he could Orochimaru carries me on his back.

We walk in silence only interrupted by the early morning birds.

I pat his shoulder and he lets me down but holds my arm.

"Kakashi?" I say not believing what I'm seeing.

He turns around.

He's not wearing his green vest. Only his dark blue under layers.

"Akari!" He says and stands to see me.

I hide behind Orochimaru.

"We were to believe you were dead." He says.

Kakashi shakes his head.
"What?! What are you talking about?"

Kabuto looks at him then back to us.

"I saw him before I left to find you lord Orochimaru." Kabuto says then takes a small bow.

"I did not know the circumstances sir." He adds.

Orochimaru guides me back in front of him.

"You're dead. I saw it." I say, my legs going numb.

"It's me." Kakashi says reaching his hand out.

He places my hand against his face.

"Akari." He says.

I run my hand down his chest and then his arm.

"It's me." He says shakily.

I hug him and hold him tight.

"Kakashi you were— you..." I mumble.

"I'm here. I'm here." He repeats.

"I'll take you back to the village hidden in the leaves." He says squeezing me.

I pull away and look at Orochimaru and Kabuto.

"Now Akari don't be sad." Orochimaru says.

Kabuto slings an arm around him.
"Yeah we still like you. Just maybe not the others."
