Chapter Thirteen

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

• AUTHOR'S POV •

After Teju's departure with her baba, Karan was sitted in his room, after having lunch and having bnothing to do as they had cleared their schedule almost for a month on Papa Kundra's order, for their good after wedding.. But guess what, nothing is good in their marital life.. And Karan too knew the reason for it.. Of course, he would know, as he is the only reason that they are having too much difference currently..

While sitting in the room idly, Karan realised that how lonely his life gets when Teju is not there with him.. Observing his room,he noticed the minor changes that has occurred now, after Teju shifted here, after their wedding;Like now his room smells a bit feminine due to mist used by Teju;His dressing table which used be almost empty except for the fact that only his perfumes were arranged there, is now filled with her makeup and beauty products.. His whole room,now has her touch..

Seeing this, he remembered how he had asked her to move in with him but she had denied and said that she will only move in after their marriage, but till then she can come here sometimes and would stay with him too if he wants that but no permanent move in as her parents too won't like it..

Parents, yes parents, Karan right now really felt thankful to his and her parents as,if they would have left him on his, he would have lost Teju but dur to them, she is at least with him, right now.. Though, even after being with him, she is too far away from him.. But he was now determined to win her back, win her trust and belief back, at any cost..

Being lost in the maze of his thought, he remembered how coldly he had treated her due to his misunderstanding.. He knew what he did was wrong.. He still remembered how a day before their wedding he got to know the whole thing, whole mishap, done by Aanya... He remembered how Papa and Baba had called him in the study,before haldi to explain the whole situation, whole misunderstanding Aanya had created but before they could say anything, he said he now know everything..

That day, he had asked forgiveness from both baba and Papa.. He was really guilty for the fact that rather than approaching her and solving his doubts, he chose to go back in to his shell..

He knew he had done a big mistake this time but the truth is, as soon as he came back to his senses he tried to find the truth out but that doesn't deny the fact that till he knew the truth, he behaved like a jerk to Teju..

He remembered how he had ignored her straight for a week after that drunk night and was into his shell... After that one week, he got a grip on his self and that's when he found something fishy like how their fights stared and all.. What he found common was, they always had a fight when he used to spend his time with Aanya during shoot and hence he contacted Omi and asked him to find out about everything..

He so wanted to talk to Teju but he just couldn't bring himself to talk to her and that's the reason, he started behaving rude with her.. Though the reason doesn't justify his actions..

The guilt had started blooming inside him a long time back but the fact that he wasn't strong enough to face her and talk to her, made him behave like a jerk..

Now that he has everything clear, in front of his eyes, he couldn't help but feel angry with himself for everything.. But the that doesn't change his determination to win her trust back and hence, gathering his courage today, he had decided to have a talk with her... He wanna resolve every issue of theirs now..

While thinking all of this, he didn't realised when  the afternoon faded and it was already evening now and the time for him to go and pick Teju up.. He also had decided to apologize to Aai now.. As though ge had talked with Papa and Baba on this topic, he hadn't talked with their mother's and hence now that he wanna make everything right, why not start with apologizing to the person, who had birthed Teju and had places her utmost trust in him, regarding her daughter..

He soon reached Teju's house and was welcomed warmly by Baba who asked him to make himself comfortable.. When he asked about Aai, Baba replied that she is with Teju.. After a while, when Aai came, he asked,

"Umm, Aai I wanna talk to you.."

"Yes,speak.." Aai replied..

While Karan made Aai sit beside Baba and he sat on the floor in his knees near their legs and holding one hand each of Aai and Baba, he said,

"I know, ab mera bolna kuch badal nahi sakta lekin I just wanna say that the mistakes I have made in the past days, I would never repeat them..Aap logon ne mujhse pehle din se bas yahi chaha that I treat your daughter well and never make her cry but me being me always end up making her cry..I know, I have hurted her too much but still you never behaved badly with me..I can't promise that I won't make her cry but I can really promise that I would acknowledge every mistake of mine and try to rectify it and at the same time compensate for her tears..Usse rote hue toh mai bhi nahi dekh sakta but kya karu, mai hu hi gadha ki har baar na chahte hue bhi usse rula hi deta hu..But ab se I promise k bhaagne ki bajaye,mai chizon ko face karunga, gussa shant hote hi usse baat karke issue resolve karunga aur gusse mai kuch bhi ulta sidha na bolu yeh dhyaan rakhunga..But what I would do is, k jab bhi gussa aayega I would just tell her k hum baad mai baat karenge so that mai kuch bakwaas na karu..i know,I have made a big mistake this time but please forgive me once.."

Hearing the helplessness, guilt in his vice with his eyes getting teary, made wayangankar couple's eyes too teary but then composing themselves, Baba said,

"This time I have forgiven you but the next time you hurt my daughter,I won't forgive you and I won't even let you to be near her.."

While Aai continued,

"Karan,problems har couple k bich aati hai but uska yeh matlab nahi k alag ho jao..Yeh husband wife k relation mai kabhi na kabhi kisi na kisi ek ko compromise karna padta hai, tabhi toh rishta nibhta hai..Am not saying k galat chiz ko bhi maaf kardo, undekha kardo,nahi..par agar saamne wale ko galti ka ehsaas hai aur woh,woh galti dubaara na karna ka decide kar leta hai toh for usse ek chance dena banta hai..Tum dono relationship mai tab bhi bohot kuch hua hoga jo tum dono ne handle kar liya..But now that you aare married, aur bhi bohot kuch hoga but you need to handle that too..Life is all about changes..I know tumne galti ki but what I knew was earlier or later on, you would realize it and hence I agreed to this marriage and you proved me right..And hence, today I am happy that you didn't let my trust break in you but I would be only able to forgive you when my daughter does..The day she forgives you and move on, that day even I would forgive you..But just remember one thing,all I want is the happiness of my children..I just want you both to be happy,rest all can be ignored.."

And listening Aai's response, Karan just nodded not being able to say anything, being clouded with too many emotions..
