CHAPTER TEN

• AUTHOR'S POV •

The rest of the day went as it is.. Now, the sun had finally went back to it's home,while the moon had been back for it's duty in the dark sky.. Everyone had their dinner and are now retired to their rooms and even Veda went to sleep with her Nani whom she calls Mumma only.. But there was still one person who was sitted Or to be precise curled up on the sofa in the living room being lost in the maze of her thoughts and yeah that is none other than Teju..

Don't know when and how but she started gazing around the living room and got lost in one of theor happy memories..

It was Teju's birthday that day.. And this time, as both were quite busy with their shoots, Karan wasn't being able to plan anything extraordinary for her.. But he had been thinking to do something special for her..

Teju was on her shoot as she wanted to work even today while Karan had made sure to keep his schedule till lunch only as after that he wanted to plan something special for ger birthday and he did so..

When at 8 pm in the night, Teju came back from the shoot and as soon as she opened the door with spare key,she was welcomed with the petals of roses showering upon her, which made her squeal in happiness.. But that's not where the things ended..

Upon entering inside, she saw a large banner reading,"Happy Birthday Laddoo".. And not only that but even the living room was quite decorated, giving totally celebration vibes.. It was not much late when in the dimly lit living, Karan came with a party popper and bursting it, he loudly wished her birthday while the background had the happy birthday song on..

After wishing her warmly he pampered her to no end.. He had done everything for her from preparing a relaxing bath for her to cook for her.. Her dress was too ready while he had had even done the decor himself just the way she likes it..But what she didn't know was the surprise that was awaiting for her in the form of marriage proposal..

"I know I can be quite difficult to handle at times but will you like to handle me for the whole if our lives just the way you have did till now?? I know I am bit moody and aggressive sometimes but will you like to understand me for our lives just the way you have did till now??Dekh jyada mujhe pata nhi, itna pata hai k mujhe taude naal vyah karna hai, haa bolde bas!! Kyunki tere jaise koi mujhe jhel nhi sakta, please shaadi karle mujhse.."  Were his words..

"Where's that guy who said I won't be going on my knees for proposal?? Mera sunny kaha hai, haan??" Instead of answering she chose to tease him..

But then eventually, she did agreed like yes, they have always wanted to get married and that was the moment ahe had always waited for, the proposal..

Remembering this, brought a smile to her lips and tears to her eyes at the same time.. And it took no time to make tears, their way to flow out if her eyes, vanishing her fond smile.. Mumma who had came out to take water from kitchen, witnessed Teju crying and hence directly went to her and sitting beside her, she took her in her arms..

"Teju, bacha, kya hua?? Ro kyu rahi hai??" Asked Mumma..

But instead of replying, she kept crying while mumbling almost in inaudible voice,

"Why??Everything was so perfect at that time when the things just took a drastic turn..He had just proposed me for the marriage when in a week we broke up..Why, Mumma??Wasn't I trustable enough?? That he chose to trust someone else rather than me?? What did I do that he just asked me to leave?? And that too without giving me a chance to explain??Everything was good,we were happy but then why did this happen?? Why did we lost our happiness??Why??Why can't he just trust me??why??"

But Mumma heard it and while caressing Teju's hairs said,

"Bacha,please shant ho ja..I know, Karan hurted you..but how can you just break like this?? Khud nahi tutna hai balki lad, usse lad, usko mar but aise agar khud tutke beth jayegi toh kya hoga haa??"

And this made Teju faced Mumma and said,

"Kya karu toh mai Mumma?? Bas usne toh keh diya chali jaa?? Ek pal mai dur kar diya,sab bhulake..ab ladu toh bhi kis k liye?? Uss rishte k liye jo ab ghut chuka hai??"

"Khud k liye Teju, he misunderstood you right?? Doubted you??So make him understand that you are right only if you want..Teju we as parents,humne ne tum dono ki halat dekhi hai uss incident k baad, tumhare break up k baad..aur usse humne yahi jaana k you two can't stay away from each other..you both want each other but uska matlab yeh bhi nahi hai k jhuk jao. Stand strong on your point just the way you always do..Try to make things right between you and if you still don't find it right then whatever decision you would take,I would stand beside you..I want you to fight nit to run away from your problems..Ese khud ko torment karke kya hoga?? You know that you are not the one who is wrong here,so take a stand and be yourself..And give that khotte da puttar a piece of mind..And you have me with you whenever you need me but what I don't want is,is seeing my daughter being broken..Okay??" Mumma Kundra said..

While Teju hummed while Mumma said,

"If you want you can sleep with Veda but if you ask me, rather than you leaving your room, kick the other one out of the room, who has made the blunder.." And she winked at last, making Teju smile at her antics and at the same time adore this women..

"Keep smiling just this way.." Said Mumma and she left while Teju too went to the room and took a spare pillow and duvet from the cupboard while Karan who was still awake waiting for her frowned seeing her taking the pillow and duvet and when he saw her going away, he spoke immediately,

"Teju,kaha jaa rhi hai yeh pillow aur blanket leke?? If you want mai sofa par so jaunga,par tu room se mat ja..Aur agar tujhe chahiye toh mai room se chala jaata hu par tu mat ja.."

"Kisne kaha mai jaa rhi hun??" Teju said frowning and threw the pillow and duvet at him..

"Mai kahi nhi jaa rhi, it's you who is going out of this room, so please leave.." Saying this Teju went and laid on her side while Karan just sat there with his eyes and mouth wide open thinking about the turns of the event..

"And please close the door once you go out.." Teju said at last before getting her beauty sleep while Karan came out of shock and did the same as he was asked for..
