Sadie's pov:
I just finished school. I was about to walk back to my house Sabrina, Maddie, Maggie, and Caleb stop me.
"Hey guys how was class?" I ask looking at all of them
"It was great until Saphire showed up." Maddie says annoyed at the girl who's been bullying her since second grade
"She showed up at your class too?" I ask shocked knowing she came into my first period to bother me since we had substitutes today
"She also show up at mine." Caleb says raising his hand
"What is her deal who does she think she is?" I ask confused
"She asked me a bunch of question asking all about you two. Of course I told her to go fuck herself." Sabrina says rolling her eyes
"Same." Maggie says making me and Caleb look at each other worriedly
"We should tell her to back off or imma punch her!" I say getting mad
"Whatever let's deal with this later. Shouldn't we get you girls home before Sophia sends out a missing persons on you all?" Caleb asks making Maggie nod
"Oh yeah let's go." I say
"I can't believe how much homework I have. It's the first day back they could have give us less." Maggie says annoyed
"I was going to have some but I finished it all in study hall." I state calmly
"Well wanna get Chipotle and then eat at my place?" I ask Caleb
"Sure!" Caleb says excitedly
We all get in the Uber and get Chipotle. I pass Caleb the bag to hold. I plug in my phone playing "Mars" by Youngblud. I look and see Maddie smiling. This song is mine and hers. Anytime I had nightmares we'd sing this song loudly it'd wake her mom up. Once we make sure Caleb has all the sandwiches for everyone including AJ we head back to the house.
Sabrina's POV:
Once we pull up into the driveway Caleb, Sadie, Maddie, Maggie and I all run inside. I start to smile thinking about how we've always raced inside anywhere we went. I look back to make sure Caleb still has the sandwiches. Once I see that he does we walk inside. Once we head into the kitchen I see AJ at the table smiling.
"Hey guys we have Chipotle we got you guys some! Do you guys mind if Caleb eats in Sadie's room?" I ask smiling
"Yeah sure! Thank you guys for picking up us dinner. I was gonna but I couldn't get out of work early enough too." AJ says smiling appreciatively
We all make it up stairs and go into Sadie's room Caleb, Maddie, Maggie, and I are on her bed. While AJ is downstairs at the kitchen table eating. I put on "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Ray. As the music is quietly playing in the background we all begin to eat.
"How was the car ride with AJ to school this morning?" I ask Maggie
"Well she and I listened to music. No one talked. So it was really quiet." Maddie answers
"Do you think you guys should get to know one another more? I know you won't admit it but you want to know her more." Caleb says
"Yeah Mags you say crap about her all the time but I remember how you used to cry for her." I say
"Sadie you used to tell Mags all the time on what life was like without her and sure there was bad but there was also good moments." Maddie says
"Are you saying I should act like nothing happen? Give her a clean slate? Fresh start for all of us?" I ask raising my brow
"No Mags and Sadie I think we are saying that you should both hear her out. I mean shouldn't you know why she did what she did? Everytime somebody asks why she did that you always lie or act like you don't hear them asking you." Caleb says
"I don't know if I'm ready for that conversation." Mags says whispering looking at the floor
"Well ready or not I know as soon as we leave AJ is gonna try to clear the air between the all of us." I say
"Well good thing you are spending the night I have one more night before I have that bullshit talk." Sabrina says
"Should we tell AJ that we are spending the night?" I ask
"Sure how about Caleb goes and asks them since he seemed to be their buddy earlier. You should have seen it he wouldn't stop talking to them. It was like he them her for years. It was crazy." I say rolling my eyes
"Yeah would you mind doing that Caleb?" Sadie asks begging
"Sure I'll be right back I'll let you know what they say." Caleb says as he head downstairs
"I'm bored Sabrina sing that song AJ used to sing you that you used to sing to me when I had a nightmare I think it was "Pink Skies" by Zach Bryan." I say excitedly
"Why that one?" I ask confused
"It's what AJ used to sing to you as a baby. Anytime you had nightmares and she was home. She would climb into your bed hold you to her chest and sing it til you went back to sleep." Maddie says
I get up and grabs Sadie's guitar from her room. Once she grabs it she brings it on the bed since we're all spending the night in her room. I look at Sadie and she nods. Once she starts to play I sing the song and right after we finish Caleb enters back into my room. He looks at Sadie and I with an impressed impression.
"Hey guys they said it was cool. Sadie and Sabrina that was beautiful!" Caleb says as he sits back down on the floor near Sadie's feet putting his arm around her legs
"Well guys I think we should put on a movie and call it night it's already nine and we have to be up early so I can have that talk before with Sophia before school." Maddie says rolling her eyes
Caleb gets on the floor in a sleeping bag. Mags and I are sharing my bed. We put on the movie and not even five minutes later everyone is sleeping. Sadie is sleeping on the beanbag. I see AJ enters the room kissing Maddie's forehead. I pretend I'm asleep before she can try and talk to me. I watch her turn off the tv before leaving to her room. I sigh thinking how tomorrow is gonna go at school. I close my eyes letting sleep take me over.
