As Edison leaves, I softly peel back the blanket off my body. I step off the bed, and the coldness of the floor contracts from the warm, peaceful morning.

I smell coffee being brewed; the smell wafts in from the kitchen. The morning fresh scent and the smell of coffee intertwined as one.

As I am getting up and getting dressed to start the day.

Edison walks in as I slide my pants on the last bit of clothing.

His eyes seem to scan over my body as his eyes darken slightly.

He holds a tray with two mugs of coffee, a plate of toast, and a small bowl of fresh fruit.

He sets it down on the bedside table softly.

"Here we go," he says with a small chuckle, handing me the mug. "Black, just the way you like it," he says with a wink.

I look down confused because I don't like black coffee, not even in the slightest. I hate it.

I look down at the blond coffee. "How did you know?"

"You do not have to tell me something for me to pay attention to it," he says as if obvious, pausing briefly.

"Sit," he says, suddenly sitting himself and patting the bed.

I softly sit. Looking into his beautiful sky-blue eyes.
"So we were talking, and we agreed to let you go with Carter on your lunch today, but Dexter will be going with you. As I'm not sure you want the boss to go with you on your lunch plans."

Edison says, softly brushing my crazy hair out of my face.

"I know yesterday was probably intense for you," he tells me, his gaze stuck on the mug of coffee in his grasp.

"But I want you to know we're here for you, no matter what. It's not just about what happened last night. It's always about making sure you're okay, always," he continued.

Edison turns his head to look at me, his sky-blue eyes soft and full of unspoken understanding.

"Always," he murmurs, leaning in to place a gentle kiss on my cheek. "You don't have to face anything alone anymore."

After a while. Edison says, "All alright, ready for work?" He asks me with a smile.

"Definitely," I say with a chuckle.

He smirks at me before roughly grabbing my jaw and forcing his lips on mine.

We kiss briefly.

"It's yes, sir; you already know the rules, gattina." {kitten}

I scoff slightly. "Yes, sir," I replied to him, looking into his eyes.

He arches his brow. At me in response to my scoff."Wanna try that again?" he asked me, commanding in a daring tone.

I swallow my spit nervously. Chewing on my lip.

Until the pad of his thumb meets my lips, tugging my lip from my teeth.

He kisses my lips once more.

"Don't do that." He softly scolds me as though I can't help it.

We leave after Edison helps me wrap the muffins I baked for everyone.

"This was nice of you," Edison says, sliding the muffins into my bag.

"I like to bake and cook. It makes me happy." I tell him honestly.

"Well, I'll keep that in mind," he tells me, looking up and down my body lustfully.

I looked down at my outfit, not realizing why he was looking at me like that.
