Chapter Thirteen

*we're still in JJ pov*

Sarah had walked out, glossy eyed, john b said he would take it from there and said I could go in.
"Alright, your all set to go in." The doctor says
"She's awake right? Like she can hear, and talk and stuff?" I ask
"Yeah, she's been asking for you. You got yourself a good one, better hold on to her."
"Trust me, I will." I say, I take a deep breath and walk into her room
"JJ?" She says quietly
"Hey, hey, how are you doing?"
"Never better." She she says laughing slightly
"You had us scared for a second." I say
"I like to keep you on your toes." She says trying to sit up
"Stay still, okay? You don't gotta move yet."
"I want to go home." She whines
"I know, I know. You will soon okay? Just hang tight for now."
"Where's John b?" She asks
"In the lobby" I stroke her cheek
"Where's my dad?"
"I don't know, he's probably getting arrested right now."
"What do yo-ow shit. What do you mean?" She asks trying to sitting up but failing
"Rafe has a warrant out for his arrest, I thought Sarah would have told you..."
"No. She didn't. What's going on? Why is he being arrested?"
"For peterkin, for you, for Sarah. All his victims."
"Holy shit." She groans
"It's gonna be okay, you will be fine alright? We're gonna go home soon."
"I need to see Wheezie, where's Wheezie?" She asks
"I don't think she knows about all this."
"Oh, don't scare her okay, just don't say anything to her."
"Yeah, yeah of course."
"JJ, it's time to switch." Kie says knocking on the door
"Yeah, yeah. Okay. I will be back later, okay?" I tell her and she nods
"I love you." She says
"I love you too." I say kissing her forehead
"Don't say too-"
"It sounds like I'm agreeing with you, I know." I laugh and walk out to the waiting room.
"How's she doing?" John b asks
"She wants to leave. I don't blame her, she's got like wires and shit all hooked up to her."
"So Rafe just came to the house popped one off on his sister, and went to drown his other?" John b asks
"Yup." Pope says
"Holy shit." Sarah says
"Look she'll be fine, but you've got to get her discharged."
"Isn't that like dangerous? She just had like 2 surgeries." Pope says
"Sarah got some shotty surgery and look she's doing fine."
"So how do I get her out?" Sarah asks
"We gotta make it seem like she's recovering fast, like unhumanly fast. Then they will move her to a normal bed, we can get the papers, and then leave." John b says
"She's not 18, she can't refuse care, it's illegal." Pope says
"So we forge the signatures." Sarah says
"Yeah, yeah that works." John b says and Kiara comes out with a big smile on her face
"What's that about?" Sarah asks her
"Let's just say, she spilt some gossip." She says looking to me
"JJ?" John b says with a big smirk on his face
"What bro." I say
"Oh god! Oh god! You guys?! You and Izzy?!" Sarah says
"Would you pipe down? There are people dying here." I say
"Yeah and your trying to bring life in." Pope jokes
"Good one." John b high fives him
"I'm gonna go... check on izzy." I say
"Make sure she's not pregnant!" Kiara says
"Shut up Kie!" I flip her off I walk to her room and she wasn't in there, I run back to the nurses station.
"Where's Isabella Cameron? She's not there!" I yell
"Sir calm down-"
"Ah, JJ. Glad to see you, I was just coming to tell you the good news."
"Oh thank god. Where is she? Is she okay?"
"Yeah, yes. She great! We're running tests, removing her drain, some of her iv sites. She's making incredible progress for the condition that she came in."
"So when can she leave?"
"If she keeps progressing like this I don't see why she couldn't leave, say in two days? Tomorrow if she's lucky."
"Please tomorrow, it would be good for her if she could go home." Sarah says interrupting
"We will see, we need a parent to discharge her. Is that possible?"
"No, no. Uhm could I discharge her? Or..."
"Legally no... but I will let it slide. She's a good kid, she talks highly of you guys."
"Yeah, yeah. Can we see her? What's the rules?" Pope asks
"You all can go in. She's loopy from the pain medications but she's but weening off them. Try to see if you can get her up, if you call call for a nurse. The sooner she moves, the sooner she's released."
"Alright, great. Thanks doc!" Sarah says already walking through the doors
"Room 4!" He yells down the hall
"Hey there, champ." John b says walking into her room
"Hey there, jail bird." She jokes
"The doctor said if you walked around you could go home like tomorrow." Kie tells her
"Oh goody!" She says sarcastic
"Well that was enthusiasm." Pope laughs
"You know they stuck a tube up my, you know, so I could go pee." She says
"No, it didn't go in there actually..." Sarah says
"Is it still in there?" I ask lifting the blanket up
"Quit that." She says pushing the blanket back down
"Let's get walking." John tells her
"Okay, JB grab her arm." I tell him pulling her to sit upright
"Ow!" She yells as he grabs just above her cast
"Sorry, sorry." John b says
"Alright, on 3. One, two-" she stands up without me and John b helping
"Okay or skip three?" John b says
"Hold my arm, hold my arm." I tell her
"I will go tell a nurse!" Sarah says walking out
"Okay, wanna walk now?"
"Yeah, yeah let's go."
"Look at you!" One of the nurses says
"Can I go home now?" She asks
"Not yet." The nurse laughs
"If I make it down the hallway can I go?" She asks
"Yes." The doctor says coming into her room scaring all of us
"If you make it down the hall I will discharge you." He says
"Score!" She yells letting go of me
"Let's roll." John b says follow behind her closely
She walks down the hall taking small steps, getting easier as she keeps going. She favors her right leg cause she was shot on her left side.
"Good job, hun!" The nurse says following next to her with a wheelchair in case.
"Now can we go?" She asks making it to the end
"I will file the papers." The doctor says
"Yes!" She cheers
"Do you guys have like clothes or am I gonna have to go out naked?" She asks
"I wouldn't be complaining." I say
"Shut up." She laughs
"Yeah, yeah. Kie got you some." Sarah laughs
"I will go grab them." Kie says
"Let's go back to your room then." The nurse says placing the wheelchair behind her
"Alright, here's a t shirt, and I didn't know about pants so I grabbed you a pair of short. But I am now realizing jeans probably wasn't the move..." kie says
"Yeah probably not." Izzy laughs
"Sarah can you help?" She asks
"Yeah, yeah of course." She says
"Everyone out!" Izzy laughs kicking us all out
We all stand by the door, listening to the struggle of them trying to get izzy dressed.
"Are you guys good in there?" Kie knocks
"Yeah, we're good." Sarah says opening the door
"Well you look like a human!" John b says
"Aw aren't you kind." She says sitting down
"Alright, sign here. And make sure your resting, not sexual activity for 2 weeks, and don't go swimming or anything like that. Your stitches will dissolve over time  so you won't need to come back. Come back in a month for X-rays of your arm and we can get that cast off. Any questions?"
"Yes the is the se-"
"No questions." She says slapping her hand over my mouth
"Great. You be careful young lady, I don't want to see any of you back in here." The doctor says
"You won't. Thank you for everything, doc. We really appreciate it." John b says shaking his hand
"Of course, you two stay safe now." He says talking my back
"Alright ready to go?" Sarah says grabbing a wheelchair
"I can walk." She argues
"Yeah but it's hospital policy, right doc?" John b asks
"They're right!" He yells
"I hate all of you." She says whincing to sit down
"Yeah, but we have so much fun!" Kie laughs
"You guys have so much fun." She says pointing to us
"But you love us so it's fine." I say taking her hand
"Alright little bump." Sarah says
"Ow fuck!" Izzy yells
"Sorry!"
"Jesus Sarah go easy on her!" Pope yells
"I said there was a bump."
"And your chariot awaits you." I say opening the door to the van
"Sarah and I will take my car, meet you at the chateau?" Kie asks
"Yeah, yeah for sure." John b says
"Alright you need uh help? Getting in?" Pope asks
"Yes please." She says holding onto the van to stand
"Alright, one two three." He says picking her up and letting her into the van
"Hello muscle man?" John b says
"Well she's like 5'5 how hard could it be?"
"I could be 5'5 and 260." She says
"Okay, well your not." Pope says getting in and shutting the door
We all met back at the chateau, we put izzy on the couch on the porch so she could rest up, John b and Sarah were arguing, and Kie and pope were doing some couple shit.
"What ever, whatever. It's not important." John b says getting up
