Midoriya sat in the corner of a locker room wrapping boxing tape around his fingers, hand, and wrist. Two weeks have passed since the USJ incident and in those two weeks, the students of UA were allowed to stay home and prepare for the Sports Festival which was today. Midoriya prepared like hell for this event, and he felt the fruit of his training. He clenched his fist as he finished wrapping allowing green electricity to bounce in his palm.

15%, that was his current max, but that was not counting his breathing technique which boosted his body to 25% he hadn't tried Sun Breathing and OFA together so who knew his true max? OFA still wasn't at All Might's 25% but maybe 5% of his power, it was a slow process but at this rate, it wouldn't be long until he reached his idol's strength. His father helped a lot with pushing him past his limits, Midoriya shivered at the memory of the training with his father. However, he couldn't help but feel sorry for his father due to what his mother did to him. He was glad he listened to his mother about showing up later that day, seeing the state his father was in, he knows he and Koko would have been mentally scarred if they showed up any sooner.

Midoriya shivered from the thought before focusing back on his wrapping. This time, He was interrupted by an outside source as someone stood before him. Midoriya looked up seeing the guy with two different hair colors split perfectly down the middle. He thinks the guy's name was Todoroki or something, he never bothered learning since he was one of the weirdos that followed him around. Just one of the quieter ones.

Shoto: Izuku.

Midoriya: Midoriya.

Shoto: In the past, you were always stronger than us, yet you were always alone at that pinnacle. You seemed unreachable, but so alone. Now though you are on our level once again, you seem reachable, it feels like we can finally stand next to you as equals. I will win today and help you remember who you are and show you aren't alone anymore.

Midoriya stared at him like Shoto was a crazy guy but he didn't get to say anything to the teenager as he walked away. God that group was so weird, soon they were called to the field with Izumi and her group leading the way. Midoriya hung in the back with Ochaco on his side as they finally entered the stadium. The stadium was roaring with life as they cheered the 1st years.

Izumi was chosen as the representative and gave a long-winded speech about everyone giving it their all. Midoriya doesn't remember really since he fell asleep halfway through it as well as most of his class, it was like some old lady giving a lecture to kids. Eventually, Midnight told everyone to quickly line up at the tunnel to begin the 1st event, an obstacle course with the obstacles being a whole different breed of danger. Midoriya and Bakugo glared at each other, the two had found the person they wanted to beat.

The past was staring at Midoriya during this exchange since he was their obstacle in their past life. Now it was time to prove they were no longer burdens especially with the demons returning. Midoriya powered up OFA as he got ready to run with the rest of his class. The bell rang, Shoto tried to freeze the floor to trap everyone, but Midoriya exploded in his place tearing the ground apart from his power along with Bakugo who exploded after him, both taking the lead.

Midoriya stared at Bakugo in shock as the rival matched his speed with his explosions. However, what got Midoriya confused was the familiar hiss of a breath coming from Bakugo. A smirk appeared on Bakugo's face that Midoriya couldn't help but return.

Bakugo: What? You didn't think me seeing half the school including my bitch of sister using that fancy breathing you got, and I wouldn't figure it out? I'm a fucking genius, Deku!
