*Narrator POV*
Izuku sighed as he stared at the board in front of him. Next to him his girlfriend also released her own sigh, both staring at the board that told them who their partners were for the Final Exam.
Izuku Midoriya + Katsuki Bakugo
Ochaco Uraraka + Momo Yaoyorozu
Neither looked at the opponent as it wouldn't matter who it was. Either way, it was going to be damn near impossible to win with that person on their side. Not because they weren't strong enough but more because they didn't know if they could even try to work together even if it was to save their life.
However, they have no choice they must win. Midoriya gave Uraraka a side hug with a small whisper of good luck before walking forward to do his test. Since he was the first in the class, he was most likely to use them as an example. Midoriya stepped into a waiting room where Bakugp was already in leaning against a wall in his hero costume. The temperature of the room seemed to lower as the two immediately stared each other down. For a second, they could both swear, that for a second the other shifted into the child they had known for so long before going back to normal.
The alarm rang signaling it was the beginning of their final, they both walked up and stood at the door that would let them into the fake city. The two stood shoulder to shoulder, watching the door as it slowly opened. The tension was strong still but it felt calmer compared to before.
Midoriya: Let's win this.
Bakugo: Easily if you don't drag me down.
Midoriya: Heh. I was about to say the same thing.
Midoriya gave a cheeky smile to Bakugo and well the explosive teen couldn't help but return his own as the door fully opened shining the light on them. The two charge out of the room into the fake city, Midoriya using his Full Cowl and Bakugo his explosions. And their opponent.
A rumble shook the city causing both to stop in their tracks. Midoriya felt something was wrong and immediately threw himself to the ground.
Midoriya: Get down!
Bakugo listened the same moment a whirlwind tore through the city that cleaved off the tops of buildings like butter. The two young heroes couldn't help but look up in awe and fear. Down the street stood All Might with his large Odachi on his shoulder gleaming a shiny green in the sun, his white cloak flowing behind him as he smiled at the boys.
All Might: I was chosen to be your opponent for two reasons. The main one was due to the incident at the Sports Festival though something seems to have changed so I'll say that's being worked on. The second was that you two are the only hero students who refuse to participate in swordsmanship lessons and just downright don't implement it into your arsenal. Bakugo I could understand since it kind of ruins his gimmick but cmon on Young Midoriya you're literally in a samurai suit. Anyways, I am tasked to convince you two the benefits of swordsmanship, the hard way.
All Might swung the blade down causing another boom as the street cracked apart and wind tore down the street like razor blades. Midoriya reacted first jumping in front of Bakugo and slamming his foot in the ground causing the street to carve up like a wall, blocking the wind.
Midoriya: Well we need a plan or we ain't getting near him.
Bakugo: No shit dumbass.
Midoriya: Yeah, yeah. Got anything?
